Looks and sounds great in the brochure.
Car park spacious.
Entrance is through the gift shop. Admission Fees reasonable enough, but having to pay extra to use credit card is nonsense. You also have to buy a map of the park, this should obviously be included in the admission price.
Walking around the Glen, the vast majority of the characters are looking very much the worse for wear. Most need a good clean and repaint, many of the little houses are in very poor shape with the wooden structures literally falling apart.
The areas around the characters are also very overgrown and many of the streams/ponds are stagnant.
The main playground area in the center of the Glen is in good order and safe for the kids
Some work has been done recently, but overall the impression is one of decay and neglect.
The 'animals' comprise a total of 1 cow, 1 goat, 1 pig, 1 rabbit and a couple of chickens. Pretty feeble and again the houses, pens etc are in very poor shape.
Overall my 5 and 7 yr olds thought it was ok, but it could and should be so much better. I would imagine that it was so in the past when properly maintained.
No comment on the restaurant as having been round the rest if the area, I didn't want to chance it.
