“Nice food but a bit pricey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2012

Very nice friendly staff who were helpful. The menu has a very good choice but it is a bit expensive. I ordered a curry which they can make as mild or as spicy as you want which was really lovely and plenty of it. My husband ordered the Rob Roy chicken which he said was very nice but just not enough of, especially vegetable's.
The restaurant itself is quite nice although it was really cold inside, there were people sitting with their jackets on and some asked to be moved from beside the door as it was so cold!

“One of the best sauces I've tasted”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2011

We went here for lunch one miserable Saturday in November. My husband had the fish which he said was gorgeous. Lovely batter and the fish was huge. I plumped for a steak and chose the Drambuie sauce to go with it. Boy was I impressed, the mushies were gorgeous, everything was nice, but the sauce - WOW, packed with drambuie, absolutely gorgeous. A lot of sauces lose their flavour, not this one. Only thing that would have really made the dish even better, proper fried onions instead of onion rings. The service was brilliant as well.

“Very good british fare keeps us going back!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2011

I have been to this restaurant a number of times for bar lunches, suppers and also the Sunday carvery. Always good value and quality. They have the best Cullen skink! Haddock and chips are pretty fab too.

Their sister establishment, Edwards in Inverurie also does very good wholesome cookings with large portions but they don't serve food at all times so you would need to check. The art deco building is complemented by the decor.

Parking is either on the street or in a car park across the road but not a major issue.
