This city centre hotel offers good value for money with free parking in a secure garage under the hotel. It is on the main street in Aberdeen so we expected street noise. The staff were all polite and hardworking.

We spent a sleepless night in July 2014 at this travelodge. The noise outside was awful and kept us awake until nearly 4.00 am and the room was really hot with absolutely no option to cool things down.

This Travelodge is right in the city centre just off Union Street. It is ideal for parking as there is a lower level with a secure car park. The entrance is just off Union Street so it is ideal for shopping or eating out etc. Friendly staff with restaurant and bar. Breakfast was excellent but once or twice we had to wait to be served at the bar later on. This was due to staff multi-tasking of shift change overs. We didn't take the opportunity to eat dinner due to the selection outwith and around the hotel.
We were on the top floor looking onto Union street. Room was very spacious and not too much noise. Biggest problem was seagulls on the ledge outside the window.
Would definitely use again.

A group of 10 booked rooms at the Hotel over the weekend and although the bedrooms were a bit warm they were clean, functional and had everything we needed.
Only a short walk from the train station and next to all the city centre pubs, clubs and restaurants so its well placed.
As is the norm with Travelodge book early or you will pay the walk in rate on the day which is much higher.
Downside would be no on site parking.
No complaints and would book again if back in Aberdeen.

Room Tip: You get what you pay for so don't expect 4 star!

The location of Aberdeen Central Travelodge is ideal for all of the City requirements. . Shopping, eating, drinking. Close to the railway station, situated on the main 'Union Street' This Travelodge is exceptionaly clean in all public areas and the rooms are immaculate. The staff are friendly and helpful. We arrived very late from Newcastle but this was no problem. Looking forward to further visits.

Made 2 visits to this hotel in June. On both occasions the room was really bright and clean, the bed exceptionally comfortable, the staff were very helpful, polite and efficient. Dinner in the restaurant was fine, really creamy mashed potatoes (Royal Hotel Thurso please note). I had the steak and ale pie which was really tasty. The dessert was very good also and the service first class. Breakfasts are equally good the food is very hot for a buffet style meal, with a good choice of fare. (Could do with a bit more fruit, but that's my choice)The restaurant is very bright and airy and the tables cleaned as soon as they are vacated.

The hotel is just 5 mins walk for the railway station, and on arrival looks like a building used by the Starsi or the KGB years ago, with quite a lot of cigarette ends in the doorway, but once inside it is lovely bright and clean.

Our only real grouse was the size of the bath, I am only 5'10'' (Sorry not been metricated yet)
and even with a bath as full as I dare you cannot immerse the whole of your body at one go, it's either legs and bum, or back and chest. Also a bath mat would have been nice.

But all in all a really good hotel, oh yes and the bedrooms are very quiet, we looked onto the main road and did not hear any traffic noise or noise from clubbers.

Would stop there again.

Room Tip: Don't worry about rooms on road side as with the double glazeing they are very quite

Its a comfortable bed and a great central location for getting around Aberdeen.Don't expect too much from it.The staff are not the best probably due to being so few of them and the rooms can be a bit hit or miss but they are always clean and comfortable.Book early so as not too pay over the odds as last minute can cost £80 plus to stay here.Great showers and beds since the room upgrades but it is a pity they cant put in some decent tv's with more working channels and make the bigger rooms feel a bit warmer as they do feel a touch sparse.Great hotel if your not paying more than £55 pounds a night .

Room Tip: Front of hotel looks out over union street so can get very noisy so ask for a room away from the str...
