The title says it all. The only reason to stay here is the proximity to the airport.

The Aberdeen Marriott hotel seems to divide people's opinion, but I am a regular and think the positives outweigh the negatives. It's not well located for the city centre, but it's the best airport hotel by far and is well located for much of the business activity of north Aberdeen. To take advantage of the beautiful surrounding area a car is necessary and parking at the hotel is free. There is a free shuttle to the airport at certain times of the day.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious with great beds. On the minus side, some bedroom doors have a gap at the bottom which allows light and sometimes noise to enter the room, but this can be easily blocked by a towel. Some of the public areas, especially the corridors could do with refurbishing. Breakfast in the dining room is usually good, but the bread selection is limited and I'm disappointed that they no longer offer haggis on the buffet. The gym is small but serviceable and the pool is great. Service in the executive lounge is first rate. Overall, this is a very comfortable hotel with great staff. It represents great value at weekends, but is often expensive during the week because of the big demand from local business.

We stopped here for 1 night. Beds are comfortable, room is clean etc. Breakfast cost is outrageous. We ended up not paying for it. There is not much around the hotel to eat. Couldn't turn off the hall light without turning off the master switch. The master switch controlled some wall outlets as well. Overall, a decent place to get some rest.

Having stayed at the Hilton Treetops, and Hilton Double Tree (some distance from the airport) I always reserve this hotel. Great rooms, clean & very comfortable, fantastic breakfast selection, and great front-of-house staff. I arrived very early from Hong Kong having connected in Heathrow and my room wasn't ready so they took care of my luggage and got me a shower down at the fitness centre. Perfect location for the airport and not rowdy with guys from the oil rigs.

I stay at this hotel a few times a year. It is 5 mins from Aberdeen airport, so convenient after the travel. The hotel needs a refurb but is clean and the beds are wonderfully comfortably, with pillows and duvets like clouds. No free wi-fi, why can't hotels realise that we DON'T want to pay for this.
As said in a previous review, no lifts, BUT, only ground and first floor. Hate lugging bags and cases anywhere, especially upstairs.
I haven't eaten here but have had a drink in the bar which was fine. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Friendly, approachable with a 'nothing is a problem' attitude - you feel like you have come home.

Just had a brilliant and very enjoyable weekend stay,
Family room with 2 double beds was very clean and tidy with everything we needed.
The pool was a great hit with our 7 and 4 yr old girls and we all felt very relaxed and chilled out over the weekend.

Alcoholic drinks were not as expensive as expected but soft drinks were pricey enough.
Food really tasty and a great kids menu at a very good price.
Breakfast was described by my 7yr old as breakfast heaven.

Staff were very friendly and happy and always there ready to be helpful.
Great value for money, will definatley recommend to others.
Thanks!!

Room Tip: If family ask for a quiet room.
