Stayed overnight in a feature room lovely big room with view of the river and hills beyond
Check in was quick though the girl at check in had such a strong accent it was difficult to understand what she said
We were with a group of 9 and a very pleasant lady found tables for us all and took our orders for lunch
45 minutes later the starters arrived the nachos were over cooked and stuck together, the haggis Bon Bon’s soggy
Mains eventually arrived gourmet burger tasty but expensive and the chips barely warm
After a lovely evening out our group met up for breakfast
Disaster..we waited 30mins for tables to be set for us,the promised tea and coffee had to be requested 3 times before it arrived
Buffet was dismal the hot breakfast items were not replenished and most of our group had very poor breakfasts and no scrambled eggs!
Staff appeared throughout our stay to be disorganised certainly no one in the breakfast room appeared to be in charge and the waiters didn’t seem to know what they were doing
Overall lovely hotel but food and service not up to expectations
