“Best premier inn ever.”
Reviewed 12 November 2013 via mobile

Hotel very nice. Food very nice. Staff very nice. Less purple than other premier inns and much higher standard. I don't usually bother reviewing premier inns as they are all the same normally buy this one was exceptional. Will definetely return. Saw the manager there who normally works at city centre branch. Very nice woman. Good customer service.

Stayed here for 1 night in a family room (2 adults, 2 kids). Hotel is fantastic, staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Room was excellent and have to say the Good Nights Sleep Guaranteed was indeed correct! Can't fault this hotel at all. We only paid £39. Aberdeen has a lack of hotels which drives up the prices but delighted that more and more are opening up which is making prices more realistic at long last. They do say on the website that you need to pay for parking (£5 for 24 hours) but when we were there the barriers were up and no need to pay.

the place was great, probably cos its new. what i did not like was how unprofessional some members of staff were to other members of staff. a black gentleman sat me down. i believe his name was samuel. he was very polite and called me ma'am. i heard him calling others sir and i thought how nice. its different from the mate and buddy i hear. i saw him cleaning tables and one lady kept talking down to him. she was in all black and her name was diane i think. samuel kept a smile and did not respond but kept on cleaning. then i heard another lady who was not in uniform talk down to him as well. i asked to speak to a manager and a member of staff pointed me to the lady that was talking down to samuel. her name was marta if i remember well. the funny bit was those talking down to him did not speak god english. and i wondered how they even got the job. the service i received was great, but i would never place people to work there if that is how staff are treated. it was almost as if they were ganging up on him. i felt sorry for him.

Room Tip: rooms at the end dont get wifi well

This Premier Inn had only been opened a few weeks, so the condition is excellent. It's located maybe 600 yards or more from Aberdeen Airport in an area containing several hotels. However, as a budget hotel it's not worth the £109 paid, but everything in that area seems to be the same, dearer than I have ever paid at Heathrow, Gatwick or Glasgow airports within the airport perimeter, unlike this Premier Inn which is outwith the airport.

Room (319) was rather cold in appearance and decor, whilst too warm in temperature, which I failed to tame with the thermostat. The air conditioning was a bit on the noisy side for a new property. The water was certainly below the temperature I would expect, perhaps luke warm is best description. Wi-fi was good, but whilst initial period is free, after that you have to pay, which for room price charged is also a negative factor.

The Thyme restaurant is part is the same building and provided a good range of meals at a reasonable price and pleasant surroundings.

An issue encountered was trying to get out of the building at 4.20am to walk to the airport as all the doors locked were locked, with a notice on reception to use the buzzer to contact staff. There is no buzzer on the small desk, eventually I spotted a 'call for assistance button' on the auto checkin machines either side of the desk. It did get a response, but there needs to be clearer signs of how to exit out of hours.

It's within walking distance of the airport, I managed it alone and I'm 71 with 23 kilo case & 10 kilo backpack. There is a pedestrian route from the approach round-about although there's a flight of steps to negotiate. Part is through the covered parking area, but in bad weather you might want to consider a taxi, as the bus stop is a couple of hundred yards away.

On my return journey I won't be stopping here despite landing at 5pm,, but take the train to Inverness Premier Inn, which is third of the price for similar facilities, then continue my train journey west from there next day.

It's a very good hotel located nearby the Dyce Airport. We can arrived there by walk. It's nearby a bus stop too. There we can appreciate a very good reception, breakfast, wi-fi and a beautiful sleep.

I arrived late and was tired after a long drive, so I didn't use the Bar or Restaurant. I was surprised to find that parking was extra (£5) As the room was £179 for the night (gets expensive around Oil Rig crew change times) I assumed parking would be free. As someone else already mentioned, the bed seemed short, but it looks very wide. I wonder if the beds have been installed the wrong way round? I'm only 5' 9" and my toes were off the end. The following night in Inverness, the Bed was longer, definitely. Anyway, the staff I met were efficient and friendly and breakfast was tasty. I'd have no qualms about staying here again, but business paid, not me. Could be expensive for someone on holiday.

If Premier inns are to be like this one in the future we need to stop calling the "Budget Hotels".
As soon as you enter you get the feel of space. We received a lovely friendly welcome as we checked in, the room was absolutely great in every way. Their was an issue with the air con and Nazir dealt with it very professionally and helpfully. I was impressed by his people skills.
We also bought the meal deal which proved to be very reasonable. The 3 course meal in Thyme restaurant was delicious with good, attentive staff and the buffet breakfast was lovely.

I you are planning a visit ( and I DO recommend it) please be aware that if you are using a satnav or Google maps to guide you that there is an issue with the Post code of the hotel. We drove around for 45 minutes looking for it!! It is right next to Marriott Hotel and BEHIND the Shell petrol station.

Dear Glasg0w Jh0n,

Thank you for your kind feedback. It is always great to pass on these messages to our team members and management.
The team and I are proud of this new Premier Inn Aberdeen site and this reflects in the welcome you received from Nazir, and how he dealt with you.

With regards to your comment about Satnav post code, I have since been in touch with the relevant people to understand the post code issue and why this isn't recognised by Google maps; they are currently sorting this for us.

I am delighted you had an enjoyable experience with us, and the team and I do hope that you visit us again in the near future, and we look forward in welcoming you back.

Many thanks,

Louise
