Basically this was a good, modern, clean and bright budget hotel, with a reasonably spacious room. At the weekend rate of £29 per night for a double room, it was very good value. However, it seems that the weekday rate can be in the region of £100 per day, and this would be excessive and definitely not worth it. The room had an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, which I appreciated. The things lacking were face flannels, bars of soap (as an alternative to liquid soap which was provided), only 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi connection, an electric shaver point in the bathroom (very inconvenient), and a very stingy supply of complimentary tea and coffee - more was available at reception, but guests should not be put to this inconvenience. The room in which we were staying (room 32) had a window which was difficult to close, and a faulty latch, compromising security. Overall it was very good, but like most things, it could have been even better.

Fine accommodation for short stay breaks in the outskirts of Aberdeen. Located 2 miles beyond the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre on the A90 road to Peterhead. Access is from the A90 to the B999 to the hotel car park. Car parking is adequate with lots of disabled spaces close to reception.
The rooms are spacious with occupant controlled central heating and complete with a portable electric air cooler. Bathrooms are first class with the appearance of recent refurbishment with superior fittings - all spotless and shining. The double bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for many a year.
The adjoining and connecting Mill of Mundurno Restaurant is not quite so good. It seems rather jaded and looks as if it needs some upgrading and refurbishment. At dinner, the food was fair for the price but service staff (who were pleasant) struggled to avoid long delays between courses. The cooked breakfast was poor and lacking in taste. All in all, a bit disappointing.

Room Tip: Access to the hotel can be difficult despite the small plan set out on the website. It is not easy...

We really enjoyed our stay here for 1 night while travelling around Scotland for a week. The hotel itself is situated in very pleasant surroundings. A very warm and friendly greeting from the receptionists on duty. Room spacious and clean. Although for some reason we were given a room with disability access, with everything at low level, quite noticeable as we are both quite tall. It wasn't really a problem but we did query it and weren't offered a different room but we have stayed at dozens of Premier Inns over the years and have never encountered this before.

Only half hour of free wifi! The premier inn could really do with addressing this and come in line with budget hotels on the continent who offer free wifi.

Free Car park with plenty of spaces.

We can't comment on the pub/restaurant as we didn't use it.

All in all a great hotel and we would use again.

Lovely location, most staff helpful and friendly. Usual high standard of cleanliness in hotel and rooms. Always stay at Premiere inns and have been lucky to have adequate sized rooms for our family of 4. However, on this occasion the room we got was small and the single bed and sofa bed were crammed together with a small king size bed. I asked at reception if we could have a larger room but the receptionist was most unhelpful and suggested I book some other hotel in Aberdeen!

We ate in the restaurant that evening, had an hour and a half wait for food. When served, we were told had run out of peas so got some fried onion rings in batter on the house?! (it was still early when we ordered around 7.15pm).

I have stayed in various premier inns in scotland and have never experienced such a hostile reception. The breakfast waitress made up for it though with her bright personality!

Will not be going back.

Rooms at the hotel were clean and well equipped. Most of the hotel staff were friendly. We ate evening meal on our first night but had to have an alternative meal as they had sold out of what we wanted, it was quite early so wasn't sure why this was the case, it cost us quite a lot of money but the the food was ok, However the following evening we went to the theatre to see our son in a show hence the reason for our visit to Aberdeen, We arrived back at the hotel at 10.45ish and were refused a dink in the bar as they were closed, we were not aware that pubs close at 10.45?? The bar man who we were later told was the manager was extremely rude and very abrupt. May i add that there were no customer in the bar waiting to be served and when i questioned the time he just shrugged his shoulder and walked off, this is not expectable customer service so beware.
Breakfast was good to find no staff in the restaurant i waited 5 mins and then went in search of them. I found them playing on the fruit machine in the bar. I was not impressed this put quite a dampening on what should of been an enjoyable stay
