Have been twice now for dinner- once with my boyfriend and once with work colleagues. The first time I had a curry where they had managed to under cook the rice (yes really). It was crunchy and I had to send it back and wait 15 minutes for another dish. Second time round I had salmon. For £16 this was a small, poached (or microwaved) fillet with no embellishments/sauce or seasoning, some plain boiled baby potatoes and a handful of salad leaves. The food was of the standard I would cook myself on a lazy Wednesday night.
That being said the service is very good and the decor of the hotel itself is lovely.

Charming hotel with lovely rooms, however, I after upgrading to a superior room I did expect a bit more of a 'wow' factor, and the bed wasnt the most comforable.

Lovely toileteries and nice to see that you are encouraged to take away. Lobby, restaurant and esepcially the bar area are beautifully decorated and nice to relax in.

Lunch for two = £55.00 consisting of one burger, one vegetarian risotto, two bottles of beer and two vodka and cokes. To charge £15.95 for a burger is a rip-off, but to charge the same price for a vegetarian risotto (basically a plate of rice with peas and carrots) is just awful. One bottle of beer costs £6. I have no problem at all paying this amount of money for lunch if it's value for money and something to remember, but i left feeling totally conned and i won't be back. I genuinely didn't notice the price on the menu before i ordered as it was in very small print at the top. The prices are just stupid - even The Dukes Hotel in Mayfair doesn't charge as much as that!

We stayed at this hotel for one night was absolutely amazing from start to finish we have already booked to go back next month for weekend we stayed in a superior room on the second floor it was excellent just wanted to say that the staff here work extremely hard and it really shows from cleaners to waitresses ,bar staff and reception can't wait for our return

Room Tip: We had room 102 at the original building very large superior room would definitely recommend it as it very quiet on second floor
