This is great, quiet and peaceful place comfy beds and feels homely. Staff all friendly and the place is spotless. My company paid so not interested in the cost as Aberdeen is high priced anyway all you need is a good bed and happy staff and they have it :).

From the outside the lodge looks as if it is closed and it turned out parts of it are. Booked this place because it was cheap and close to family. Also it had a play area for my kids.
The play area should be condemned as it is falling apart and dangerous. The grounds are no better and looked awful. If you don't mind the travellers in the car park next door and the police checking they are ok then this is the place to stay.

The only good thing was the two rooms we booked were very clean and we'll maintained.

We stayed here, having stayed before, on a few occasions, and always the double bed is solo comfy, but sometimes in Travelodge I find the bathroom smells of urine, well on this stay is was quite bad , having had a wee smell of the bottom of the shower curtain, I realised that was the issue...It needed a good wash..I told the receptionist apon leaving...Also, my daughter and I had to laugh, I asked for an extra hand towel, and was told we can only get what we were given, but no problem to get extra bath towel!!! too funny..So an extra bath towel I took. Overall , a comfortable bed as always, tea n coffee , extra if needed is given , a lovely night's sleep,,,just mb keep the shower curtains a bit cleaner..

On check in the receptionists holly im sure was most unhelpful and rude she has a very bad can't do attitude, she couldn't even tell me what was in the local area for food or were I could go for a evening walk lucky for me the lovely receptionist that was in that evening was able to tell me where to go I can't remember her name Lucy maybe she is the kind of person you expect to be met by friendly, welcoming, helpful. Not a full of attitude, can't be bothered, would rather be somewhere else receptionist. I don't think I would ever return here just because of her.

No noise from planes disturbed me but note that taxi's collecting and dropping people outside the hotel is a problem for rooms on one side of the building. This went on quite late and started again at 6am. The grounds around the hotel seem a little tatty.

After reading the reviews on here i was a bit apprehensive to say the least but my company booked it and everywhere else was full so i had no choice, yes the car park could be in better condition but the staff were extremely pleasant but the the woman in the evening Louise was the most friendly and helpful, every night she would be welcoming and ask how i was?, she also told me somewhere new to eat every night as there is no restaurant at the hotel and was always chatty an asked if everything was ok when i went to the reception. The beds are comfortable and i had a good nights sleep the rooms are nice enough for what you pay and they were cleaned everyday for you going back at night.

After Arriving at a hotel that looked as if time had claimed it with a close down restaurant and a mould covered play area I knew that this would be a interesting night. The fences around the hotel are broken and the grass was above knee length.

After entering the hotel there was a pungent smell, I checked in and the staff were reasonability friendly although they seemed to want to rush along (I wondered if this was they fear people will leave) and get you to the room.

The room its self was very basic but bearing in mind they have no restaurant or bar its easy to start to notice the faults. There was no phone, no free Wi-Fi without registering an account, the beds were dirty and stained and this was followed by a shower that didn't look very clean.

Also the only heating in the room is a small electric heater in the corner. The window had a lock on it that prevented it being opened more then 3 inch's. This was also followed by being in a room that overlooked the front car park where everyone smokes. Breakfast is a small box of fruit bars that could be bought for less by walking about 1mile to the Tesco express.

This was added to the insult by charging £150 a night.

Overall the bed wasn't good pillows, needed to be replaced being floppy in the middle and the room was hot. I stayed one night and changed to the Marriott hotel by the airport

(This hotel is not within walking distance of the airport)

Room Tip: Don't pick a room that overlooks the front carpark where everyone smokes.
