We bought a living social 2 night break and we were really impressed.
The staff appear to be all local and friendly from our check in to the time we left. The room is modern and clean, the surprising bit was that there was a fridge and a microwave in the room with suitable utensils for eating in as well as the coffee making facilities. The fridge also contained water, juice and kit-kats. There was also a goodie bag with more water mars bar, alpen bar and crisps. Anything that we consumed first night was replaced. There was also an iron and ironing table. We ate the first night in the restaurant which was part of the deal and it was good and restaurant is conservatory style so was pleasant.
We did not find a fault and was probably the best hotel we have stayed in for years. we will definitely be back. The only negative was the location as it is not in the centre of Aberdeen

Room Tip: We stayed in the side of the hotel away from the street and it was quiet, but I would think it would...

We came on a groupon deal cost just £89 for 2 of us bbed for 2 nights what a bargain!
The rooms were spacious and spotless loads of extras like nice toiletries and a goodie bag with lots of chocolate crisps and biscuits
Our room had a lovely big bed (305) My brother and his wife were across the hall in 308 and their bed was so big you could have got 4 people in there comfortably!
The food was outstanding and the service was brilliant! We couldn't believe that we could choose food off the main menu and not a side menu bearing in mind we were there on a deal break.
Didn't catch his name but the young lad in the restaurant (wore glasses about 20) was so accommodating he couldn't so enough for us, so thank you to him
From the reception staff to the night porter the service was outstanding!
We had 2 small problems when we were there the toilet flush broke and the door card was deactivated both problems were sorted out without fuss and very quickly
We had 2 long days travelling up from Leeds on Saturday the 7th and then a long day Sunday sightseeing in the highlands so decided to stay in the hotel bar both nights fairly well priced beers and spirits.
One criticism the loo is straight inside the bathroom door and not very conveniently placed.
I would recommend that the housekeeping staff check the kettles and irons as the lid was broken and loose on our kettle I had to hold it down when pouring and our iron didn't work at all (I forgot to report this) Just borrowed the one from my brothers room!
Would recommend this little gem of a hotel to anyone who is travelling to Aberdeen, yes the parking is a bit dodgy but we had no problems at all and the bus stop is over the road and cheaper than taxis even for 4 people!
Thank you for the service and we will be back!

Room Tip: We were woken by the farmfoods lorry delivering but as it was 8 am that was ok we were at the back o...

From minute we stepped out of taxi the smell of fried food clung into the atmosphere and stayed with us throughout our stay at this hotel.
We had requested a quiet room.
Bedroom was on top floor. Was not quiet. The lift had what seemed to look like urine puddle.
The bedroom had everything we required but the security was lacking. The door locks did not work. The safety chain was also snapped. Had to resort to putting out luggage in front of the door as we slept!

Dear Amberns1

Thank you for taking the time to communicate your views on the hotel via the Trip Advisor site.

Please accept our apologies that no part of your stay was enjoyable, unfortunately as there are a few food take away shops in our vicinity various food smells will always be evident on the approach to our building. As for the puddle in our lift I can assure you it will most certainly not be a urine puddle, the entire hotel team are focused on hotel cleanliness and I will certainly investigate this.

Unfortunately as we are very close to the main road we would not be able to guarantee a quiet room although the team would do there best to ensure the quietest room was allocated to you. Our door locks are self locking and once the door is closed only your own key card will operate the door lock, the broken chain bolt is unacceptable and this should have been reported by our housekeeping team and fixed prior to your arrival.

Please accept our sincere apologies for a less than favourable stay.

Thanks again.

After reading reviews prior to our trip, i was expectant of the not so pleasant exterior. I can imagine it would be a bit of a put off (just because we arrived late and it was dark - car park not belonging to the hotel although they do have CCTV). Once we entered the hotel we were very pleased to see that from there on it was lovely! Welcoming reception staff (informative about breakfast/dinner times etc). We had booked a 'Living Social' package and the deal we received was very good value for money. 2 nights in a suite (not totally luxurious but had to remind myself the excellent rate we had paid) nice little kitchen area with welcome pack inc. water, snacks etc. We didnt spend much time in the hotel as wanted to explore the cenre of Aberdeen but would stay here again. Oh.. breakfast was excellent many options catered for!

The hotel it's self is fine but the parking is not safe to say the least.
You have to use a farm foods car park next door and cars get scratched by other motorists.
Aberdeen is very expensive to stay and you cannot get into this hotel during the week due to the oil workers using it for work.
I suppose if you book it months in advance there maybe a chance of a room.

Room Tip: Rooms are fine and clean

Dear daviefreescot

Thank you for taking the time to communicate your views on the hotel via the Trip Advisor site.

Unfortunately as we do not have our own car park this is the closest parking for hotel guests although there a few alternative spaces at the rear of the shopping area.

As you say Aberdeen is very busy mid-week and generally rooms do tend to sell out a week in advance and on most dates we generally do not have rooms available to sell on the day.

We hope to see you again in the near future.

Thanks again.

I had to book a hotel for my partner and I last minute and could only get this place. I had stayed here before so knew it was ok, I got a suite before and a room this time. The downside was Mon to Thu in Aberdeen are really expensive due to rig workers travelling. The room cost £160 !!!!
But it was really nice with a drench shower and free wifi. It was less than £10 in a taxi to the city centre. There is parking and it looks really dodgy but twice my car has been fine. There is a dodgy little pub under the hotel............AVOID.
On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and couldn`t do enough for us, in the room was a complimentary bottle of wine with 2x glasses and a large selection of water, juice, crisps and chocolate.
Bed was comfy, the desk was situated away from the mirror which was not very useful for my partner.
I would stay again, but on the weekend when its cheaper.

As you say Aberdeen is very busy mid-week and the average prices are generally very high, we always try to ensure our prices are highly competitive and always offer a best rate guarantee. Most weeks our rates are the lowest in the area although demand always out weighs supply mid week.

We hope to see you again in the near future.
