The Soprano on first appearance was promising with its external facade, however, inside the hotel was tired, outlandish decor with delapidated rooms. Min facilities no free WIFI & Overpriced for quality of facilities and available services on offer.

On the plus side the location was great, the room a good size and the receptionist nice and helpful but on the negative it felt very poor value for money. The room was shabby, there had clearly been water incursion on the ceiling that had not properly been remedied, the room was hot and stuffy and the walls so thin you could hear the conversations of the people in the room next door. The room also lacked amenities I would expect in a hotel of this price like a hair dryer and decent towels. The entrance is very bizarre as you have to weave past barriers, dead pot plants blocking the main door and then up a flight of stairs to the reception desk that is little more than a converted landing. On checking out the reception was unmanned and I had to go searching around the hotel for someone who could help.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front are very noisy due to being on a busy main road. Ask for a room at the back if yo...

Booked for a week in this hotel,on arrival I was given the keys to suite, sounded good, and that's as good as it got.the "suite" was tiny.3/4 bed,tv and a dining room chair.not even a wardrobe, not good considering I was booked for a week, nowhere to put a case or bag.there is a small shower and sink and a light fittiing hanging out of ceiling, no handle on door, just as well as the door was too big for the hole.asked at reception to change rooms but told they could not do anything til the morning.went to restraunt, asked for pint of Guinness but they only had cans.not much food to choose from so went for chicken and pasta.guess what.no chicken at 7.30pm on asunday. Time to move hotel.stayed at many hotels in Aberdeen, this is the worst up til now.

Had a one night stay and was quite pleasantly surprised, nice room, had an electric shower so no problem with hot water until trying to clean my teeth in the morning. There could be an issue with noise from the ships in the harbour but it did not bother me,would have no problem using this hotel again.

Stayed here in march great location but at night wanted a bath but no hot water! In the morning took more than 20 mins for hot water! Plus door in bathroom would noy shut! Spoke to staff about door and hot water they said they would sort it! When coming back that night nothing sorted still no hot water!
I will be not be staying at this hotel again! Very disappointed with this hotel!

Stayed @ this hotel on a Sunday night because of an early airport checkin the next day. The room itself was massive. I got one of the suites. Only problem there was onl;y a small electric heater which could hardly cope.
Got up early next morning and there was no hot water and the toilet didn't flush. No time for breakfast because i was out before 5AM.
For an overnight stay I would probably use the hotel again but don't think I would use it for any longer. The traffic is absolutely unbelievable and eventually stops late on only to start again very early again.
Like I say I would use it foe one night stays again only because the train station and bus stations are across the road.

Room Tip: Try and not get a romm directly on to main road.

4 of us ate at the Sopranos restaurant last Saturday and I must say we were very impressed with the food and service. It is also very good value for money. We will certainly be eating there again.
I cant understand why it is not included in Trip Advisors Aberdeen restaurant list
