Great Food and friendly staff. Reasonably priced too. Nice pub with a good atmosphere. There was a nice seating area outside although local youths seemed to gather nearby and were very loud, so wouldnt want to sit out and have a meal but ok for drinks.

Three of us had a hearty lunch at the Old Brewhouse on the harbour front at Arbroath. The establishment is a pub and restaurant with B&B too. I had an Arbroath smoakie (smoked haddock) with chips and salad, one of my companions had steak pie and the other a burger. All was good. The service was friendly and efficient. There is also a good selection of local ales. I am happy to recommend this as a good place to eat lunch in Arbroath.

We always make a point of visiting this restaurant everytime we visit Arbroath. The food has always been amazing and well worth the drive. This last time however it was different. Presumably a new chef and unfortunately not a particulary good one. His idea of a salad is a torn up lettuce with a sprinkling of colour on top of it which seems to be served as a bed for everything. As for the fish although not bad. It was just ordinary and therefore no longer worth the drive. A great shame.

We had lunch here . The choice was very good . We had soup and a sandwich. The Cullen Skink was excellent, the Seafood Sandwich was also very good. Service was very good. Looking at the Smokie Dish someone else was having it looked lovely with a generous portion of potatoes. The desserts also looked tasty but we were too full.
Would certainly go back again.

One of my favourite places to go to in Arbroath for a drink and food. Last month I was there for lunch and was very tempted by the menu for dinner! Good location as right next to the harbour and "Danger Point" but don't let that put you off your Arbroath Smokie and tatties!
Would highly recommend this to a tourist if they wished to sample some of the local cuisine and then take a stroll along Victoria Park towards the cliffs to take in the view towards fife and the east coast.
