We usually go the The Old Boatyard at lunchtime and enjoy it very much! We went once before in the evening an was unhappy but we went again on Saturday past at 6pm and thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Quality food, very tasty and not too expensive it was certainly a huge improvement! 2 things let this restaurant down - the music was a little noisy and not really apt for evening dining and the service, although friendly, is a little too relaxed for evening dining. We will be back!

The food was terrible , the service was slow/average at best (the staff were friendly though) and it was so noisy we could not hear each other! Rock music blaring while everyone seemed to be shouting just to be heard. Very unpleasant experience. It's a shame as the view of the harbour was lovely.

A great location. Good surroundings. The venue was half full. Mixture of all ages. Prompt attention when entering and seated quickly. The waitress was not fully clued up on what the meals contained and forgot to bring bread. Drinks slow in coming. Food when served was piping hot and out of this world. Again when requesting the bil,l it was slow in arriving. Overall, if you are not in a hurry the eating experience is worthwhile and I will return again, but would hope that the service would be better

The interior of this restaurant is authentic to the harbour setting that surrounds it. We have only yet had high tea there but we wish to return to try the a la carte menu. Food was good. Lovely selection of italian coffees. Comfy sofas for relaxing by the large windows looking out to sea.

Went for dinner on a Sunday. The food was nice enough, but I think it was overpriced. Paying for the sea view? It also seemed like you had to be friends with the management if you wanted good service, otherwise the staff didn't seem all that interested.
