My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in April. The standard of the accommodation and the service would rival the Savoy Hotel! The house is glamorous and tasteful and the en-suite accommodation is luxurious. Nothing is too much trouble for hosts, Raymond and Esther. They are kindness itself and all the staff work to a very high standard. The breakfasts are fabulous - great choice and beautifully cooked. My husband loved the Arbroath smokies with smokie pate and oatcakes - absolutely delicious and "a must" for anyone who loves fish. Raymond is a mine of local information and on his recommendation we went for lunch to the But 'n Ben in the nearby tiny seaside village of Auchmithie - a wonderful culinary experience! Do visit the historic Arbroath Abbey - a magnificent site with a beautifully laid-out and informative museum - the staff were extremely helpful too. All in all, a marvellous stay in Arbroath and the Brucefield Boutique B&B rightly deserves the top accolade!

Don't know where to start as there is so many fantastic points to this wonderful place, stayed here with my hubby as we were attending a wedding at RM Condor on the Saturday! We arrived on the Friday afternoon to a lovely welcome from Raymond where we were shown about the place and then our room which was stunning and huge with a massive ensuite with rain shower and free standing bath, we stayed in the red castle room. After settling in we went down and had a drink from the bar which is complementary drinks and sat out the front which has a beautiful decking area set in the beautiful kept gardens where Esther, Raymond's wife, came and introduced herself, they make you feel so welcome! The whole place is immaculate, the bed linen and towels are crisp white and so fresh! The breakfast has a great selection to chose from and cooked to perfection! I honestly can't praise this b&b enough or Raymond or Esther the couple that own it, it really is a little piece of heaven! The only negative point I have is I had to leave :-( I felt as if I was leaving family but will be back soon! Don't hesitate to book you will have an amazing stay!

From the minute you drive through the gate to the moment you leave, Esther and Ray make your stay quite marvellous. Their attention to detail is second to none even down to the little "magic" key for the front door. Our room, which overlooked the garden, was huge and the ensuite quite magnificent. Everything you could need was there and the deep free standing bath was luxurious.
Breakfast was a real treat with great choices and large portions. Do try the Arbroath smokie with its lemon butter!
Their recommendations for evening meals are readily given and certainly should be followed up. We did and ate well.
We will certainly return but if you want to stay, book early.
Thanks again to Esther and Ray for a fabulous stay in their wonderful establishment. They fully deserve all the accolades that they receive

I would like to thank Esther and Raymond for looking after me whilst staying for two nights on business. The breakfast was excellent (chef Jane!) and the room wonderful with real attention to detail. Great bathroom. Most of all, was the welcome and goodbye from the hosts. They are a credit to Arbroath and Scotland's hospitality trade. I had both the Full Scottish Breakfast and Arbroath Smokey on offer over the two mornings. I sat outside in the gardens, enjoyed the complimentary perks and never felt I was staying at a B&B - more like a top boutique hotel in London. I will certainly come again. Highly recommended.
