I was dubious I'll be honest, but found my room to be excellent and better, I think, than a chain I have stayed at this year. Assuming they're all the same, rooms are modern, clean and well-appointed with a lovely comfy bed. The TV eve has an inbluilt DVD player, how 's that for service? Free wifi, reasonable rate included a reasonable breakfast, good and attentive staff.
Two niggles. It was a double room yet there was only one bath and one hand towel - please supply two of each, Townhouse. Even with a partner it's nice to have your own towels. If you want to share you can, but please, supply two of each. Second, the bed design. As comfy as it is, the legs stick out from the sides a little which catches the unwary's feet and shins, so be careful, especially in the dark.
Parking is free (August 2013) but it's not on site. There's a free public car park within 2-3 minutes walk of the hotel so check in (and drop your bags off) then go round the one way system back to the High Street to park the car in the free public car park.More
