“Fantastic Trip”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

We went out with Andrew on the 26th May, and we got a fantastic day for a trip out to the Bell Rock. Spotted and couple of puffins, plenty gannets and other sea birds, and a couple of seals out by the lighthouse. awesome was the word of the day and it was amazing to think of how they actually built it all those years back. Very efficient and friendly service, Andrew knows his stuff! Lovely cuppa back at the cabin while watching the documentary on how it was built. Well recommended, hopefully be back soon x

“Exhilarating and beautiful!”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

This is a great trip for kids and adults, exploring a stunning piece of coastline and its wildlife in a high-speed boat. We saw loads of nesting birds including puffins, razorbills and cormorants. We didn’t get to see dolphins from the boat although we were lucky enough to see some from the cliffs later in the day. The people are really friendly and our skipper, Andrew, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the Arbroath coast and its history. Everyone was provided with warm waterproof jackets and life vests. Our kids loved every minute of it - a fantastic trip and great value for money!

“10 out of 10”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Just seen that mine will be the 10th review for Sea Safari and it definitely scores a maximum 10 from us. We were bought a trip on the Bellrock Express as a Christmas present from family in Arbroath.
We knew we would be travelling up in May from Lincolnshire so made arrangements with Andrew to join tour; Very accommodating and helpful as my wife has a mobility problem and both Andrew and his mum in office went out of their way to ensure she was able to enjoy the trip.
After setting off on the Friday, the sea conditions were such that we had to return to harbour but were able to complete the tour the following day.
What a privilege it is to travel 11miles out to the Bell rock on the rib and there is a genuine sense of amazement when you try to imagine what conditions must have been like for those men who constructed the lighthouse all those years ago. As you circle the reef you see the odd seal poking their heads out of the water and puffins fly alongside the rib.
All in all an amazing experience which I would recommend to anyone visiting Arbroath and a big, big thank you to Andrew for all his help on the day.

“Excellent speed boat sea safari”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Dolphins, Puffins, a (very) fast boat, and an excellent guide!

I can only recommend this tour for everybody! Andrew was an excellent guide, showing us the local bird life, scenery, and made is all smile and enjoy a very fast ride through the waves :)
To top it all of, we even saw Dolphins along the way.

Waterproof and warm gear was provided, and needed ;)

“huzzah for the bellrock!!!”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

Though unsure as to what to expect from the trip, it turned out to be very enjoyable! The guide knew the history of the lighthouse perfectly, being able to answer all questions without hesitation. An unexpected joy was seeing perhaps around 20 seals, apparently a common occurrence for the trip! It is excellent for anyone, whether interested in history or nature. What's more, the boat ride could be managed well even by those who feared sea sickness, whilst still being exciting for youngsters. All round an excellent trip, and definitely recommended!
