Having done coastal last year decided on Bellrock this year.
Started off by watching the film about Bellrock so we knew the history before going out on the boat.
It was a warm sunny day, water nice n calm. As we sped out towards Bellrock our youngest (8) got upset & worried about 'giant waves & drowning'. . . Andrew was straight beside us and managed to reassure the wee one where I was failing (phew!)
Bellrock itself is a MUST SEE!! Absolutely STUNNING!!
As the name suggests LOADS of rocks around it and on our visit loads &loads of seals. Some sunbathing on the rocks, some swimming about not noticing us us while others played with each other and a few put on a show for us by splashing about and playing hide n seek.
It was all over far too soon but we also saw quite a few different birds flying over and beside us.
It's a fast hour but well worth it!!
Unfortunately for us and due to Commonwealth Games commitments by Andrew we didn't get to do coastal this year, but have booked to go thus weekend. Here's hoping the weather's on our side!!!
