Thank you Sunita and Bill for a lovely stay in Arbroath. Very comfortable, super breakfast! Great hosts! Special thanks for returning Andy's shirt - over and above the call of duty! Only sorry we couldn't stay more than one night. Next time!

To the owners for such a great stay. Couldn't be bettered - lovely large room overlooking the Harbour and if you haven't tasted a freshly smoked Arbroath Smokie ask for one for breakfast. I wish all accommodations were like this. Well done guys

Stayed at harbour nights for 1 night. Twin room good, clean, comfortable and really comfy bed with lovely crisp white sheets and quilts. Breakfast brilliant. Sadly, owners (especially the man) abrupt, condescending, rude, sarcastic and ultimately unprofessional. Its a shame really as the b&b is pretty ok. I describe this owner as such due to the fact he argued that i had been told by his wife when i booked over the phone that the room had no en-suite. I was NOT informed of this. The issue with this situation is not actually the lack of en-suite but the mere insinuation that i was either a liar or stupid, The male owner was in the mood for an argument with his customer, even when i suggested we do not discuss the issue any further as i actually didnt mind the lack of en- suite, he pursued the matter and then got his wife to come and tell me that she did tell me the info (that she didnt) thereby also insinuating that i (their paying customer) was either stupid or lying. At £80 per night (when rooms start at £70 was overpriced. Was it £80 because of the en-suite?????? er.. nope. Or was it £80 per night because of the view?????? er.... what view??? so no. Wont be back and wont recommend. Good luck.

“WOW!” what an impression I must have made on you. This barrage of derogatory remarks levelled at me would be more akin to the unceremoniously break up of a marriage or long standing relationship ‘Sorry did I miss something?’ This was simply a disagreement/differences of a situation arising after your early arrival time, which to most people would have been a trivial matter, but has now brought both our personalities to the fore. I believe your attitude and the type of person you are is clearly portrayed in your review, it is not in our interest to be rude or unpleasant to our guests. Your booking made 3 months previously would have been explained to you as we do with all enquiries day in and day out. There is no question of us misleading anyone. It is you and your colleague that arrived almost an hour before your expected time of arrival and were perplexed as we were not here to welcome you. We were there at 6.30pm; your train arrival was 7.15pm so we were expecting you around 7.30pm. I was met by a barrage of accusations on how someone should be here all the time! It was clear that both of you were looking for an argument, as your colleague must have repeated herself at least 6 times showing her annoyance to the fact that nobody was here to let you in and even suggested why another guest could not have let you in? She did not even realise what an absurd statement she was making! she was really miffed that we did not have a bar and wanted directions straight away to the nearest pub. It makes no sense to provide quality furnishings and the best crisp white linen sheets, spotlessly clean rooms and environment topped up with a brilliant breakfast only to be rude to our guests. I would never infer that a guest was a liar or stupid the word “mistaken” would be my preferred choice, as for the price this is dictated by supply and demand and is relating to a single night booking for a Friday or Saturday night. You would not find cheaper for the same quality/location in Arbroath.

What a special place to spend a night! the hosts could not have been more kind and accommodating, always ready with helpful advice for our trip. we stayed at harbour nights on a ten day tour around Scotland and could not be happier we decided to spend a night in the town. our room was such an excellent mix of eclectic and homey and we had a wonderful view of the harbour from our window. room was immaculately clean and the breakfast was made to order and delicious! the hosts really went the extra mile, to the point where they even mailed a shirt i had left behind to a future stop on our tour. thanks again and we will always have fond memories of arbroath!

We lucked into Harbour Nights Guest House because the second B&B we stopped at was also full and the kind landlady called around to find a room for us. What a find...room was very clean, beds slept beautifully, breakfast was delicious ( 1 full breakfast and 1 "Arbroath Smokie". And we were received with gracious hospitality by the owners Bill and Sunita.

The views are very special, the rooms are lovely, the breakfasts are delicious (you have to try their French Toast with cheese and chillis - super!) and Bill, Sunita and Cameron are all wonderful people to stay with. From recommendations for the best views and food in any area you are thinking of visiting to being shown Cameron's latest card illusion the whole family was so welcoming that you just feel very much at home. If you are thinking of staying here then do!

Room Tip: You've got to go for a Harbour view!

Each time we visit to watch Arbroath play football we are welcomed at Harbour Nights by Bill & Sunita, who provide nothing but excellence!! Five of us travel and we have stayed at Harbour Nights four years running and have never been disappointed by the welcome and standard of the rooms and the fabulous breakfast.
We are already looking forward to booking our next years visit when the 2014/15 football fixtures are released in July.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Harbour Nights and would say it is the place to stay in Arbroath.
Thank you once again Bill & Sunita!!

Room Tip: Rooms 2 & 3 have a fantastic view over the harbour and out to sea.
