Springbank prides itself on carrying out the full process from malting the grain to maturing the product. Our visit was on a Saturday when they were not working but they had prepared a full warehouse of sprouting grain. This meant that the fermenting vats, stills and intermediate vats were not in use and could be inspected. Visits at other phases of the production process may not be as good. The guide gave a very good account of how the processes were controlled. The visit to the bonded warehouse was an aroma to die for and then back at the shop for an inclusive miniature of "SPRINGFIELD".
