The selection of homemade cakes was first class. There was a good lunch menu but we were only in for a tea and a cake which we really enjoyed.

Probably the best carrot cake I've tasted in a while. Nice cosy little place for fantastic cakes and coffee and great friendly staff.

Popped in here with a colleague for a quick bite to eat.

Service is friendly and food hit the spot.

It's not fine dining, but that's not what I was after.

I will visit again.

Having parked on the quayside, we waked along the main street looking for somewhere to have coffee and a cake. We went into the first cafe and were so put off by the look of the poor selection of cakes, we left and found Brambles a few doors away. The selection of fresh, home made cakes in the window was impressive. Inside it was relaxed and inviting. The cakes, coffee and excellent service were everything you expect from such a well run establishment.

We will be returning to sample their cooked food.

We stayed only 1 night recently whilst we were travelling south from the Isle of Skye. Our bedroom (no 1) was really huge, warm and comfortable. We were recommended The George for an evening meal, which although was extremely busy we did have a great meal. Although we were on the Main Street we did not hear any traffic noise. For breakfast we went into the cafe downstairs, we had quite a good choice to choose from. Would stay again.
