“Somewhat tired room”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

We stayed one night only - a nice lochside location just about a mile out of town. Our "Garden View" room overlooked the overspill car park and as we understood, there are no actual gardens to view! The room had a 1980s air about it - somewhat dated and tired furniture, a narrow double bed, and quite airless. "Uninspired and Ordinary" would sum it up. The public areas and breakfast room were fine, and the breakfast itself was very good - a comprehensive buffet with hot courses served promptly and indeed hot, despite the presence of quite a large coach party. We had eaten dinner in town; on return it was a struggle to get any attention to get a coffee in the lounge - staff seemed more interested in clearing bar glasses away. We didn't use the spa. In summary, we would say the hotel didn't represent great value for money.

I arranged a Church Outing for lunch for 70 older adults to this hotel.
Arrangements before our visit were promptly and courteously dealt with.
The setting was beautiful, the hotel and main rooms very clean and the staff welcoming.
Food was excellent and we will certainly consider returning and will happily recommend to others.

I was part of a party of 18 friends. Beautiful hotel, great food, a fantastic location.
We all really enjoyed our stay. The spa was excellent and spotlessly clean.
It is the kind of place you would recommend to your friends, that they must
Visit at some point in their lives

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the loch

Everything about this hotel was perfect for us. We arrived early and got the use of the leisure facilities before our room was ready, can't complain about the room, bar, restaurant or Spa. All the staff we encountered were cheerful, polite and done their best to assist you. The food was excellent and the location is breath-taking. Inveraray is an added bonus.

Room Tip: I assume the front rooms have a good view but there is so much to see and do you won't spend lon...

went here with the wife for two days R&R and we were not disappointed from the moment we arrived and untill we left we were well looked after, the six course taster menu was brill, all the pool areas were clean and well presented, on the second day we both went for a massage my first time and would do it again, in the large lounge area you could sit and look over the stunning veiws over loch fyne ,the town of inverary is only a short walk away and was a good way to burn of the exellant food, would highly recomend this hotel and area if you want to get away from it all and relax we went in may 2014 although the weather was not at its best it did not ground us you know what they say about the scottish weather if you dont like it just wait 5 mins

Room Tip: try and get a front faceing room for best veiws

I organised a small conference at Loch Fyne Hotel recently and was delighted with the professional service we experienced. The room, which was a good size for our numbers, was set up and ready on our arrival with the Hotel's equipment and we were met by the Duty Manager Lazlo. Refreshments were served on time and lunch was great. The delegates enjoyed the Hotel as well and the ones that had stayed overnight said that their bedrooms were good and their food at dinner was wonderful. Thanks for making our event a success!

The public areas of the hotel are lovely. Our room was okay however the bathroom was tiny with a radiator that couldn't be switched off. We were at the top part of the hotel with stunning views from both windows however as we had to climb so many stairs to get there it would have been nice of reception staff to offer to take our bags up for us. The room was a bit dated but perfectly adequate. There were a couple of minor issues with the room however when we alerted staff to this it was quickly fixed. Staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally polite and friendly especially the bar and restaurant staff. The breakfasts were good and we ate from the a la carte menu for dinner (thank you for upgrade) and the food was delicious. The spa was fine and not too busy which was good as it is a fairly small pool. Towels were provided and there were lots of spa treatments. We had a great weekend and would definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 21 was in the attic with a stunning double aspect view. Only for the very fit as there are many...
