The Craigellachie Hotel is nothing short of AMAZING!! My husband was I charge of booking our Scotland vacation and he chose this hotel for our 2 night stay in the region to tour the Aberlour and Macallan distilleries. He did really well ladies!! Upon check in, our suite was complete with pink rose petals on the king sized bed, a dozen chocolates and huge bouquet of flowers! Having traveled all over Europe and England, this room was nothing short of huge and inviting! The bathroom was complete with all the luxurious amenities needed and the bedroom was oversized with plenty of room to spread out. There is no AC, but we were quite comfortable with the windows wide-open, dispute being near the highway, the noise was very minimal and there were zero bugs to speak of. The restaurant, The Copper Dog was great for breakfast, and closed to hotel guests only. While the menu simple, it was straight to the point. The dinner menu (open to the public) was varied and had great nightly specials. I suggest letting the front desk know you're interested in dinner to ensure you get a table! My husband had found (and picked) fresh rhubarb one day, and upon returning to the hotel, ran into the chef. After chatting briefly, he asked if we would like a rhubarb crumble for dessert - duh, of course we would!! Not only was dinner top notch that night, so was our custom dessert...as is the customer service! I would definitely return to this hotel, as well as recommend it to any traveler!
