“Perfect!”

A perfect Scottish stay: romantic, characterful rooms and furniture, welcoming host, good breakfast, tranquille country setting - couldn't ask for more. We loved it! A short drive from Inverary (5 minutes) .... despite the Inverary castle being very interesting, this B&B itself might be worthy of a stay in this village.

Room Tip: there's a lovely four poster bed in one of the rooms!

We stayed 3 days at Claonairigh. It's a cottage, 4 minutes outside Inveraray, off the road. It's very calm here. The house is lovely as well as the rooms. You can feel the presence of your hosts which have been wunderful (great breakfast; help, tips and answer for any questions). A walk in the surrounding or behind the Castle is to be recommanded. We would definitely stay here again.

My stay in Claonairigh House was at the finish of a tour of the west coast of Scotland,Mull and Skye, before returning to Ireland.Fiona was a pleasant and friendly hostess with a subdue manner.Breakfast(with fresh eggs from her own hens)at 8.30 am sustained until well after 2.30 pm.
Comfortable bed, refreshed every day.I would recommend Claonairigh House and hope to make a return visit.

We arrived to a warm welcome and a needed cup of tea. What a lovely location and a house that's a proper home from home.
You really feel looked after and the fabulous breakfast kept us going until well into the afternoon. 4 very happy bikers will certainly be making a return visit next time we come up to Scotland.

Very comfy very friendly house with the most wonderful breakfast and hospitality. I would definitely stay here again. Location was fabulous and the house felt like home except that we had a 4-poster bed so very grand!

We (a family of 4) stopped over for 2 nights on our way to Mull and found this great place just a few miles outside of Inverary. Two cosy, comfortable rooms with everything you need in the attic where we had our own 'family area'. Fiona's breakfast was probably the best we ever had in a B&B. The kids enjoyed the hugh space outside, playing with the 2 lovely dogs who even joined us for our walk through the woods that start right behind the house. A place to feel at home. We just can recommend it.

We stayed here last 23 august. Location 5/10 min by car from the village. Peaceful, hospitable. Room very "scottish", large, good bed, clean (that's important !); tv/dvd/wi-fi; only the bath is a little small. Great and superb breakfast (you can choice different solutions all self-made by Fiona, the owner, which is very careful). We can say that we were very very satisfied and we were as a king and a queen !!

I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay here with us, it was a real pleasure to meet you both. I really appreciate the time you have taken to write a review for us. We are not sure what the space was that we converted into the shower/toilet room...maybe a dressing area as was the tradition in days gone by...it was a curious little corridor along that side of the room which had two big door frames leading to it. Perfect for an en suite but as you say...not the largest one in the world!
