“great hosts and views, perfect place to relax”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

Had a wonderful stay, Janice & Bill were great hosts, very warm and welcoming. We were in the lovely Lismore Suite, stunning bathroom with jacuzzi which you totally chill in, and view of looking up at lovely blue sky and hills across the loch- no blinds needed! Breakfast was one of the best we've ever tasted. Everything was spotless but the feel of the place is like a home, very comfy and very tastefully renovated from an old church. .Would strongly recommend Newton Hall Guest House to anyone and would stay there again. Eating out, the George is great for food and totally buzzing.

Room Tip: For that extra relaxation the Lismore Suite with the jacuzzi and lovely views from the bedroom and b...

This B&B is fantastic - a gorgeously renovated church with warm, friendly hospitality. We stayed for two nights at the end of May. Inveraray is lovely, and Newton Hall is within easy walking distance of the town center. The breakfasts were made to order and absolutely delicious. Bed was super comfy. We stayed in the Iona suite, which overlooked the Loch. You get a bit of road noise (since the room is over the main road) but it's not bad unless you're jet lagged and not sleeping well anyway. ;-) The room was beautiful and the bathroom was fantastic. GREAT water pressure in the shower, and a huge clawfoot tub to soak in. If you're looking for a place to stay in Inveraray, I'd highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have great views but road noise; if you need a quieter room, choose one at the ba...

I traveled to Inveraray on a Business Trip and spent 3 nights at the Newton Hall Guest House. The rooms were spotless and very, very comfortable with ample room and nothing left to chance. Breakfast offered a range of choice that would provide a good start to the day for anyone whether traveling far or staying in the locality. The views across Loch Fyne were breathtaking and you cannot fail to chill out at this destination. Bill, Janice and the staff looked after us beyond the call of duty and I will be returning in the no too distant future. Thanks for an excellent experience.

Room Tip: Rooms vary in type and choice, but you can see all you need to see on the website. I stayed in Gigh...

Unfortunately, we were staying here for a nearby wedding so didn't spend too much time in the accomodation - but it's an absolutely stunning place to stay.

The rooms are all spotlessly clean, fresh and modern - not just tastefully decorated, they are stunning.

Bill welcomed us in and was helpful at all times of our stay there.

Our room (Iona) had a beautiful view over the loch and it was a joy to stay there.

Room Tip: Iona room has a stunning view.

Newton hall is an excellent B and B . It is so refreshing to find a modern B and B amongst many of the hideously dated B and B's that exist still in Scotland.

The hosts are excellent, friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast was fab. View was superb.

If your looking for a B and B in Inveraray stop looking now and book newton hall.

We happened across Newton Hall after being let down by the No15 B&B in Crarae

The standard of décor and attention to detail at Newton Hall is quite outstanding, far closer to a 4* Hotel than a Guest House.
Bill and his wife were extremely accommodating, they were kind enough to offer my Mum and I the Gigha room. This room is more of a suite, with a Double Room, Twin room and en-suite.

The cooked breakfast in the morning nicely capped off a perfect stay.
At £35 per person for B&B you cannot beat Newton Hall !

During our journey from the Isle of Mull to Glasgow (for catching our flight back to Paris), we had an overnight stop in Inveraray, and we spent one night at Newton hall (formerly a church). It is a delightful B&B, with wonderful rooms all greatly decorated (with a top view over the Loch at the first floor), and we very must enjoyed the kindness of Bill, his warm welcome and his perfect way of cooking scrambles eggs with smoked salmon!
We strongly recommend this place, and have just regretted not to spend more time here.
Thank you Bill
