“Sad”

Must agree that Ganavan Sands is no more! What a shame this once unspoilt place is now a poorly developed low quality estate, whos occupants must be wondering why they bought into it.?
Quick buck for somebody but detrimental to the area for sure.

“Sands???”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

Pointless exercise, there are lots of amazing other beaches around Oban, Tralee, Cuil Bay, etc etc which are not in a housing estate but surrounded by open coutryside.

“Relaxation at its best!”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

We took a wee drive along to Ganavan Sands and parked at the car park beside the beach. We took the bikes and had a cycle in the area, stopping for a wee walk along the sands.

You look directly across to the Isle of Kerrera and in the far distance is Mull. The sound of the water lapping ashore, the birds and the breeze, not to mention the unseasonal sunny day, made it one of my favourite days and one I'll remember!

“Relax and enjoy”
Reviewed 22 October 2013

Lovely place to sit and enjoy the view or have a walk along the beach with the dog. Also a tarmac path heads off behind the sands into the hills for walking or cycling.
