This is a great restaurant, which is very cosy due to it being quite small.

The food and service was excellent.

Thank Derek B

Enjoyed an excellent meal. Delicious, well presented food. Special dietary needs catered for without any fuss. Lovely friendly staff and all served freshly cooked in a timely manner.

We saw the set menu of this restaurant on the main street and decided to go there. Once we were in and drinks served, to our surprise we read a note on the menu that the set menu was only available until 7:30pm. Well, we were hungry and already there, so we stayed.

We chose to share scallops as starter. They were nice but a bit rubbery.
It took around 20 minutes to get us the main courses, which were the cous-cous stuffed peppers (very nice!) and the lamb cutlets special. They were a bit fatty, but they were accompanied by gorgeous vegetables and a stunning sauce.

The girl who served us was very nice and friendly.

Great food with interesting ingredients and combinations. The soup of the day-curried carrot, the chicken with haggis and the Sticky toffee pudding were all delicious. Very friendly staff. Only regret, its too far away from Sussex.

I recently went here with my wife. The great service started from the moment the restaurant answered the phone to take the booking. Very accommodating and pleasant on the phone. Which at this point gave us a good feeling about this place. When we arrived we were met by a lovely lady called Aly, I think, she was very friendly and pleasant. The inside of the restaurant was decorated very nicely and had a great atmosphere. We were given our menus and a fantastic selection of specials too. The service was brilliant. Couldn't fault it. The food......was the best dinner I have had in a very long time. The quality and quantity of the food was a perfect balance. And presented in such a way you would think you were in a top London hotel!!! Overall it was a fabulous experience from the second they answered the phone to the moment they held the door open when we left, lovely, reasonably priced, friendly restaurant. A credit to the town. We will be back..

Thank Adam B
