Description: The Kitchen Garden is a busy delicatessen and coffee shop. Our licensed coffee shop is located on a mezzanine floor which overlooks the delicatessen below. We offer freshly prepared, local, simple meals and can be busy during peak times. With regret we do not have lift access to the coffee shop but wheelchairs and buggies can be left in the deli, where the staff will keep an eye. Our deli is well stocked with several thousand lines from Scotland and beyond, with an emphasis on Scottish cheeses and whiskies.

We had remembered eating here whilst on holiday seven years ago so popped in for lunch on arrival in Oban. The food was delicious, well presented and good value. It would have been nice if they were open after 5.30pm for evening meals.

We didn't use the cafe but bought rather a lot of food in the deli! We bought a lovely range of cheeses, bread, cold meats and pies for our picnic. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. It was so good we came back again the next day!

We popped in here to get a quick bite to eat while waiting for the ferry to Mull and not really expecting anything out of the ordinary. I ordered the mushroom soup and I was absolutely delighted with the whole bowl full to the extent that I was moved to bestow my own personal "Best Ever Mushroom Soup" award.

We were pleased to find the kitchen garden wit its sumptuous deli downstairs and it's very agreeable cafe upstairs. Tea was courteously served at a reasonable price. The fruit cake was very disappointing.

stopped here for a light bite while on a daytrip with Lochs and Glens. We opted for one of the Soups of the day, Leek and Potato, it was wonderful, full of flavour with a lovely chunk of bread and butter. The sandwiches coming to other tables looked equally appetising, and a lovely shop downstairs, great selection of cheeses.
