“Superb local museum”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

I think that local museums are so important in that they are an Aladdin's cave of local artifacts and information that would just get overlooked in a larger national museum. Staffed entirely by volunteers who really know what they are talking about, this little museum in Oban is a wonderful attraction and very educational as well. As the name suggests, the primary focus is the Second World War and the role of the local area during that conflict. It's worth taking your time looking round because there is so much to see. In fact, it's amazing in how such a small place, they have managed to display so much material.
There is no admission fee but there is a donation box and I hope people will give generously so that this wonderful little attraction can continue and develop further.
