“Friendly Bed and Breakfast”

Great location on the esplanade. Comfortable, well appointed bedroom. Great breakfast in the morning. Really helpful staff who took time with their guests to make sure they had all the information they needed for the day. Thoroughly recommended.

A really nice older style hotel on the waterfront at Oban, so an easy walk into town for restaurants shops etc, but off the main drag, also convenient access to the ferry terminal. Lovely walks nearby, we even saw otters swimming while eating our breakfast here.

This guest house has been in the same family for decades, and the historic atmosphere has been preserved. The couple running it are very friendly and capable. It is just a short walk along the sea front to the centre of town, and there are fantastic views out to sea. Our room, on the 2nd floor, was large and comfortable with a spotless en suite. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: At the front, with a view.

Wellpark House
We were 2 couples going to Oban for the Highland Games. We hadn’t booked and were a bit dubious when we finally got this B&B after a lot of calls. The rate was 160 for 2 rooms. We arrived to find the B&B right on Oban Harbour. The hosts were very friendly and our rooms were a good size. Breakfast was nice but on the downside we didn’t have internet. It was about a 10 minute walk to the main area for restaurants. We were lucky to get a room at this time of the year.

We loved our short stay at Wellpark House. Very welcoming hosts, a great breakfast, lovely views and an ideal location made for a pleasant stay. Our room was comfortable and spacious and the armchairs in the room were a great place to relax and just watch the world go by. The guest lounge is beautifully decorated and also a great place to sit and watch the ferries passing by.

Room Tip: A front room with a bay window is ideal.

We stayed here two nights while on a Rabbie's tour. We had a lovely large room with a wonderful view of the waterfront. It is a bit of a walk to the restaurants, but we had good weather so it wasn't a problem.

I only stayed one night and I found the the room to be a good value. I would suggest that if you are getting off the ferry and have some luggage with you and no transportation, it is advisable to get a taxi from the ferry port since it is a fifteen minute walk. Taxi fare is under 5 pounds.

My room was small but clean. I didn't mind since it was only one night. The bathroom was a bit claustrophobic but again it was only for one night. There was Wi-Fi in my room which was a plus. This b&b did have some nice views from the upstairs lounge. Should I stay here again, I would definitely get a bigger room with views of the bay.

The breakfast was good and there was porridge on the menu. The host was very nice and informative when asked about places to eat in the area.

Overall, it was a nice experience to stay here because of its value and convenience to the ferry and buses.
