“Lovely!”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Absolutely lovely place to stop and eat. Very friendly and always feel very welcome. Food is always delicious and service is great. My family and I visited Oban on holiday every year for 10 years and going to Ben Lora was always something we looked forward to. Jimmy always recognised us and took the time to chat and get an update on what we were doing.

“Wonderful Scones”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

We visit here regularly as we have a caravan/boat just along the road at Barcaldine. We love the scones and would agree that they have to be amongst the best around. Treacle, fruit, cheese all fab. Jimmy always makes us feel welcome as do the waitresses. Five out of five for the food and five out of five for customer service.

“Don't pass this cafe without visiting”
Reviewed 18 September 2013

This is by far the friendliest best cafe I have ever visited. The food is freshly made and the service is fantastic. It is child friendly and has a great outdoor seating area for warm days.

“Nice stop off place.”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

We were greeted as we walked into the Ben Lora café by a very cheerful waitress who said to sit anywhere. The menu though small gave a good few options. Both myself and my companion were impressed by the scones on display and we decided to order these, one fruit and one plain, you're given the option to have it with butter and jam or cream and jam which is a nice touch, we both chose the butter options.
The scones when they came smelled scrumptious and taster even better!! They were slightly warm as if they'd just come out of the oven and we both agreed that these were the best scones that we'd tasted all week (after having a few while on holiday).
All in all we would have no hesitation in stopping back here for elevenses again.
Staff were cheerful and looked like they were enjoying their job.
