A great trip to Easdale via the ferry even though a short journey time.
Lots of local interest, all items displayed in a very traditional manner

“Unexpected delight”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

What an interesting little museum with good informative displays and when we were their at least a very informative and charming guide who shared with us some of the geology and history of the village and its slate quarries. We were on a trip out on a dreary afternoon ending up in Easdale almost by accident - it would have been well worth a deliberate trip. Pity the world skimming championships are next week, might have entered!!

“Super wee museum!”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

The museum is extremely well worth a visit. There are masses of information, but it is very well organised. Folders give detailed facts on specialised subjects and well labelled displays can keep you entertained for a long time. Helpful staff. The requested donation of £3 is very reasonable. Be sure to check ferry times from Ellenabeich and also opening times of the café/restaurant. It's also worth walking round the island with, if the weather's kind, superb views of Mull and the other islands.

“Alright for a 5-minute look”
Reviewed 23 August 2013

Only takes 5 minutes to look round this place, but it's quite interesting. I liked the cabinet full of old cameras, not sure how they fitted into the history of the island though.
