“TOP QUALITY AND VALUE FOR MONEY”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

We were originally booked in for one night, but the room was so comfortable and clean that we decided to stay for two nights. The room that we had was very comfortable and very tastefully furnished, and very clean, the bed was just perfect, not too hard and not too soft, just right! Great view of the hills from bedroom window. Breakfast was fabulous- everything from the traditional cooked breakfast, to fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, the items on offer were better than some hotels we've been to. The welcome we got from Lorna and Pat was exceptional, with their personalities and drive they will go a long way in the B&B business and make a huge success of what they are doing. The house is situated in a quiet location and is very peaceful, and there is safe secure parking on site. we can't recommend Elderslie Guest House highly enough, Its just brilliant, top quality comfort, at a reasonable price, with the added bonus of a lovely couple running the establishment, who put the needs and the comfort of their guests first and foremost. Absolutely First Class. We will definately have no reservations about staying again, or recommending this B&B to anyone staying in Oban.

Room Tip: All the rooms at Elderslie Guest House seem a decent size, especially the family room, and very tast...

I have just returned from my 2nd weekend this summer at the Elderslie and would recommend it to anyone. It is situated in a peaceful location just a few minutes walk from the town centre. The immaculately clean rooms have been created with imagination offering more than you would expect from a b&b - everything has been thought of to make it a home from home. Breakfast is great offering something for everyone from fresh fruit/continental to a more hearty cooked breakfast. All guests are welcomed with genuine enthusiasm. We'll be back soon!

We spent 4 nights here and couldn't have been happier. The rooms were spotless and the bed was really comfortable. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his cooked breakfasts and there was a good choice of fruit, pastries, yogurt etc for me. Our room was at the back of the house with a great view over the hills and, if the weather had been kinder, there was a really nice outside seating area.

What made the stay, though, was Pat and Lorna. They were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They gave us some lovely ideas for places to go and recommended a great bar for our first meal. In fact, Pat even took us there in the car and the following day, took us into Oban to save us walking down in the rain!

All in all, a really fantastic stay, and we are already planning a return trip.

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Elderslie B&B.
The guest house is situated in a lovely quiet area surrounded by trees on the outskirts of the town.
It has recently been refurbished with brand new en-suite bathrooms in each of the bedrooms and has been tastefully decorated throughout creating a really homely feel
There was an excellent choice of food on offer for breakfast which was of a high standard..
The owners were very welcoming and helpful offering advice on places to visit and willing to take time to answer any questions I had.
I would thoroughly recommend Elderslie B&B to anyone wishing to spend some time in Oban.
