Lovely location with fantastic views, great breakfasts and friendly people. We stayed for one night but are thinking about returning for a weekend trip in the future. After a five hour journey it was great to find somewhere that was so welcoming and relaxing. Would definitely recommend a visit

Friendly welcome from Simon when we arrived. Lovely spacious bathroom and room. Food was excellent with plenty of choice and specials. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and if you ran out you just had to ask and more was provided.
Simon greeted us with coffee upon our arrival.
Only a few minutes walk to the harbour although its up a steep hill on the way back.
Lovely views over the harbour from the hotel.
Simon and Anna will give you any information you require about the area from restaurants to trips.
It was our honeymoon and flowers were put into our room as a special touch which we found nice.
I did struggle with the size of the bath towels but would never complain as I don't like to make a fuss. Maybe bath sheets would be better. But must say the towels we had was high quality and fluffy. Shampoo and handwash provided. Bath was really big and shower hot and powerful.
I would gladly recommend this guest house.
Thank you Simon and Anna for a lovely stay and we will be back

There is lots to commend this establishment. The welcoming and friendly hosts had great suggestions for what to do in the local area are the real stand-out and guarantee of a top rating. The other stand-out are the views (certainly from the room we were given) which gave a perfect panorama over the harbour in Oban. All-in-all outstanding and highly recommended.

Friendly welcome, lovely spacious twin room with view over the harbour to the islands. Excellent breakfast. Helpful directions made it easy to find, and it's only a few minutes' walk downhill into town.

We stayed at the Olde Manse Guest House on the 1st of March. we were met by Simon who made us feel very welcome. The guest house is very handy location wise , its 5 mins from the distillery, and about 15 mins from Mc'Caigs tower. I had booked a king room at £75 and took a gamble on not requesting a sea facing room and as a result we were given the room that faced the back of the house-out onto the lawn across the road. The view didnt matter as we didnt really spend any time in the B&B as we had the distillery tour booked and a walk puncuated with many pub stops and then dinner. The breakfast the next day was fantastic, full scottish breakfast minus the black pudding. The breakfast menu was quite good and had a lot of choice. The breakfast also included cereal and fruit.

Room Tip: state whether you would like a sea facing room when booking and Simon and Anna will try to accommoda...

After a long journey to Oban we had a warm welcome in the old manse. The place is cosy and i like the scottisch style. The rooms have enough space, are clean and the bed slept amazing! The owner provided us with good diner suggestions and everything is located within walkable distance.

In the morning breakfast is served in a breakfast room. It was fresh and well cooked :-). I like this place because it is cosy, warm and i feel welcome. I would recommend this place to other couples/ people who travel alone.
