The Glenrigh did not disappoint. We had a wonderful sea view and the room was furnished well with quality bed linen. Breakfast was a joy, served in a light airy room with crisp white cloths and table napkins. Fresh raspberries, strawberries and blackberries with a good choice of other fresh fruit. Cereals (including porridge made to order), yoghurt and juices. Hot full (and I mean full)scottish breakfast or a hot salmon and scrambled egg alternative. Iona runs a very efficient team and everything appears and is cleared away like magic. I mentioned that I couldn't have butter and the following day Iona had purchased a dairy free alternative. By the time we had finished eating each morning our room had been serviced by the maid.
Parking can be an issue in Oban but this guest house has a suitable car park. Glenrigh is an easy 25 minute stroll to the ferry terminal and provides good access to all the town's amenities and restaurants in the evening. Turn right and head for the monument at night to get a good view of the sunset.More
