“A great place to stay!”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Superb location with a view above the roofs of Oban To the Firth and the isles beyond - especially stunning as the sun drops adding colour to the moored yachts and harbour.
The location, although elevated above the town, was in reality, only 5 minutes away walking down a lane from the front garden

Our room (6) was spacious and comfortable with an en suite toilet and shower; the wash hand basin was, unusually, in the actual bedroom set into a roomy washstand with a granite top - lots of space for my wife's lotions and potions. The room was attractively decorated and furnishings/carpeting were in good condition. There was no noise from neighbouring rooms but a bit of activity from above with noisy floorboards - a penalty with this type of accommodation. Our only criticism was the absence of a toilet brush - should be there for hygiene.

Morven was the perfect hostess - always cheerful and smiling with a ready joke. Breakfast was ordered the previous evening and proved to be well prepared and filling; but how I hate those portion control condiment and preserve sachets. Well done, Morven, on providing sweetners - not many places do.
Well done, guys, a really great, great place to stay.

Room Tip: Request sea facing to catch those stunning sunsets and watch activity in the harbour

We enjoyed our stay at the guest house. Morven, Robert and dog Bonnie were excellent hosts. Their attention to detail to make our stay enjoyable was exemplary.
The guest house is in a very convenient location with a short stroll down a lane way to the town centre. Oban and the guest house was a very beautiful place to stay.

We have stayed here 3 times now. What a great find. A reasonably priced B&B with decent parking is hard to find in Oban, but this has free off road parking which is a bonus. Morven is so friendly and makes you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms are lovely, with great attention to detail. All the little extras, such as a bowl of sweets, bottled water, hand lotion, herbal tea - the list goes on. The breakfast is perfect. So much choice, with fresh fruit, croissants, yogurts, and a list of cooked breakfast choices. Nothing is too much bother, and Morven makes it a very relaxing experience. We'll be back.

Morven and Robert are excellent hosts and make you feel welcome and at home the minute you arrive. They are very friendly and accommodating and willing to help. The guesthouse is well furnished with everything you need in the room. It is kept very clean by Morven who cleans the rooms daily. There are lovely little extras in the rooms too, like tea and coffee with biscuits, a bottle of water and sweets, which are replenished each day, along with toiletries. The breakfast is wonderful and you order each night so that in the morning you arrive at your table with your breakfast being brought to you straight away. The breakfast room is lovely and has a wonderful view over the harbour.

The location of the BnB is fantastic, just a 5 minute walk from the town centre, but away from all the hustle and bustle to get a quiet night sleep.

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Morven and Robert for making our stay so very special.

Room Tip: We stayed in the cheapest room on the ground floor looking out onto the bowling green at the back an...

We were directed to this B&B when it turned out that we could not extend our stay at the lovely Dunheanish. And what a fabulous surprise it turned out to be. Morven is an amazing and most receptive host. The rooms are absolutely first rate with nice amenities and lots of personal touches, breakfast truly exceptional, wifi excellent, location very good (though with less of a view than Dunheanish), off street private parking available,

Room Tip: If you are really tall (over 6 ") make sure to mention it when you make the reservation as only...

If only all landladies could be like Morven. Bubbly, ace welcome, helpful, and so friendly. Accommodation clean, great, quiet position, breakfast scrummy. Dalraich Rd a bit tricky to navigate to but easy when you've cracked it. 5 minutes from ferry port. Can't fault it.
