“Lovely gardens and good food”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

Had an enjoyable visit here last week, had a light lunch in the cafe which was excellent then a stroll round the lovely gardens. Some of the azaleas are still to come into bloom so there will still be some lovely colours for quite a while yet.
If possible go on a nice day if you are viewing the gardens as it is nice to take time to look round them.

“Huge,spectacular trees.”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

Plenty of free parking.Admission £6,concessions £5. Nice cafe with tables also outside.Cafe area was constantly being cleaned.Friendly, helpful staff.Took me 4hours to have a pleasant, relaxing stroll around this huge site.Even the surrounding area was breathtaking& i took a load of treasured photos.Plenty of benches around the place so you can stop for a rest.Only toilets are at entrance. Many of the thousands of trees were huge& spectacular.I look forward to returning in the Autumn. Only £6 for an attraction that can be enjoyed for about 5 hours makes for a great day out.

“Beautiful peaceful garden”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

Visited on a warm sunny late spring day and enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Well managed and good range of specimen trees and shrubs. Would be worth visiting at any time of year.

“A nice afternoon out.”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

Nice for a walk in a relaxing setting. Great rocky road cake in the visitor centre! We took 3 children aged 12 and below, and they had great fun runnning around, taking photos of the huge old trees and beautiful rhododendrons.
