Little Italy have moved to new premises at Marchhills, Dumfries and this was my first visit since they moved. The food, as always, was lovely although the service a wee bit slower than before but they do now have 2 floors to contend with.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and will become regulars there I'm sure

As a family of 11 we booked here Saturday just gone. The warm welcome was lovely and our table was more than big enough for us all, there is nothing worse than being squashed in when you are a large group.
From the beginning the service was first class, the restaurant was packed but the girls waiting tables were quick and efficient getting to see us all.
It was a nice surprise to be given some pizza dough and shape cutters for the young ones to play with – it kept them very quite…
The menu was full of exciting choices and the special board had some great dishes on.
We had some starters to share ( the antipasti platter is fabulous ) calamari and warm goats cheese…lovely
My highlight was my partners surf and turf a steak topped with fresh prawns and squid it looked and tasted amazing ( one for those with a big appetite ), the small ones pizzas were scummy if a little to big, the leftovers were boxed for us and it saved me cooking lunch on Sunday…Desserts are to die for the cheesecakes are huge and the sticky toffee pudding amazing.
We are booked to go back soon !!!!!!

Ate here with friends a couple of weeks ago after hearing good things about Little Italy.
Restaurant is a nicely decorated, cosy room with views from the large rear windows.
Staff were very friendly and very attentive.
When our starters arrived we were very impressed with the presentation and they tasted fantastic. We then expected the mains to be of the same standard, I had a pizza and I have tasted better frozen ones, far too much cheese, tomato and toppings and a very doughy base. My friends both had pasta and thought they were very average.
All in all would probably return as restaurant is local and try a few different things on the menu!

Had a great meal here. The service was a little slow as the place was very busy but the atmosphere was buzzing so didn't mind at all. All the staff were very friendly and the food was of a very high standard despite being so busy. Luckily we don't live far from this little gem!

We ate here whilst in the area on holiday and we and our young children (6 and 4) throughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and attentive service. If travelling by car it parking is a little awkward as the restaurant is on the main street with very little parking available - whilst you may have to park a few minutes walk away, it is very much worth the effort!
