This Premier Inn lived up to expectations, clean room, car parking and somewhere close by to eat.
The welcome was warm and we were running late and missed our table reservation, this was no problem. A great place to stay and eat shame we didn't have longer.

Stayed here on a Thursday night, three of us in a family room for £30 so great value. Room clean, tidy, warm and spacious enough, in other words more than adequate for our needs. We all slept well, beds were comfy, we stayed with the firm pillows but there were also softer ones available in the room if we'd wanted them.
Any staff we encountered were very pleasant and check-in/out was fast and efficient. Plenty of free parking too so all good. Would stay here again if price was right. In fact, this was our second visit, having stayed in October 2013, and that stay was absolutely fine too.

Very clean rooms.Budget Hotel with pub alongside.Disabled room 22 is far too far a walk to be classified as Disabled. If you are a wheelchair user you might want to ask them to remove the settee bed.Coat hooks too high up.Also heat controls too high.
Needs more blue badge parking.
Nice welcome from reception.

Room Tip: Book early for best prices.

Do not read the ratings and think this is some kind of luxury hotel you could be headed for. It should be remembered that this is a budget travel hotel, but that considered it does things very well.

I am a regular traveller to the area with work and having spent the first few months of my stay in the area in a competitor hotel across the road I found the Premier Inn to be a decent upgrade for more or less the same money and with an adjoining bar/restaurant providing an added bonus.

As stated before, this is very much a budget travel hotel. The rooms are functional but always clean and having now stayed in almost all of them I've never had any issues with plumbing, or TV, of electricity.

The hotel is well situated for access to the A75 whether you are headed north into Scotland, or south through Carlisle and into Englandshire.

Above everything else the staff at the hotel are very warm and friendly and are always able to offer some friendly advice or just some polite conversation which goes a long way after a hard day at work.

I last stayed in the Dumfries Premier Inn 3yrs ago and this place has really changed, last time it felt weary and isolated, now the welcome is warm and friendly from all the receptionists we saw (stayed for three nights), my room was set to a lovely warm temperature on arrival. The room, as usual withPremier Inn were clean, modern and well maintained (plug sockets next to bed would be useful Whitbread)! The Table Table next door had fast, very friendly service at night and for breakfast. There was a problem with tills on Tuesday night which I felt was handled in a smiley professional manner and an apology instead of with poor excuses, a great example for others on how to deal with customers when technology lets every one down.

I had just travelled from Aberdeen to Dumfries and was greeted with a very friendly and warm welcome by the receptionist. Which lifted my jaded spirits. Not a local accent as the lady was from Hull but is a credit.
Room was great and bed was excellent.
Restaurant ok, but for in the morning the gas was off unfortunate but they still supplied an ample cooked breakfast.
Loads of parking spaces.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was decorated nicely and very clean but the best part was the bed, so comfortable, I usually can't wait to get back to my own bed but it was one of the best nights sleep I have had in a hotel. The hotel was quiet even though there were a lot of families staying there and the restaurant was surprisingly good value for money.
