We stayed here on our way back from the Commonweath Games for 3 nights. Firstly it is very impressive as you arrive in the grounds of the hotel. A huge car park is provided & there is a delightful outside seating area which is very tastefully presented. We were afforded a fantastic welcome from Terry & Lynne who showed us to our room even taking our case up ( believe me this is very rare these days!) The reception hall is very impressive, which is typical of a Scottish hotel but the baronial & boutique mix is very classy, as is the carpet on the spiral stairs to the first floor. We were in room 1 which is a good size with twin beds. The bathroom is very tastefully decorated, and a hospitality tray is well equipped. The Wi-Fi is easy to connect to & reliable. The breakfast is everything you could wish for & as you order in advance it is freshly cooked & served at your requested time. I was unwell one of our days here & I was afforded kind concern from Terry who simply should be given the hotelier 2014 award. Terry helped us plan our days out with insightful local knowledge which was invaluable. Would we stay again...? You bet we would !
