I stayed overnight on my way to Ireland. The Hotel and the grounds are beautiful and we found it easy to find. The food is good but not my kind of everyday type of food. I was disappointed that there were no vegetarian options for cooked breakfast and so ended up with the usual tomato, egg, mushrooms and beans. If there was a vegetarian breakfast option this was not made clear. There was also no sweetener in the Hotel. I find this quite inadequate. Luckily I carry some spare with me but you should not really have to do that. The only other option was toast and basic cereal if you were not a meat eater. The room was comfortable but the furniture was lacking maintenance. The knobs on the drawers were all loose and some of the cupboards never closed properly. Although our room was still being cleaned on arrival, I was not concerned by this and the staff were very pleasant and apologetic. You cannot fault the staff on any level. they are all polite, friendly and welcoming. The toiletries were a nice touch and not overpowering with scents. The shower was a tad small and awkward to manoeuvre but once in the shower, it was hot and had a good powerful flow. Overall, a nice comfortable hotel if you like the kind of dining it offers. Just a note ... the pillows are very firm and too small for the beds. It would have been nice to have the option of a softer and larger set of pillows for each person.
