When I booked the place was filling up but the service was very accomodating and they got me in. I only mention this because I needed to change very close to the date I was arriving for an extra person - whcih was sorted out without any fuss at all.
We also wanted berakfast early to get away to the event we were attending and that was sorted out too. Some breakfast too! That would keep you going, whatever you were doing.
Back in the evening, there's a lovely little Italian erstaurant which the proprietors recommended to us just around the corner, and a pub oppposite. Both very accomodating.
I'll use this place happily again whenever I'm back in town.
Honestly if you are going B&B it doesn't get much better than this.

Stayed at Glenlossie while down to do the solway sportive. Very accommodating about our bikes and let us bring them in overnight. Were also not put out by our request for an early breakfast on a Sunday morning, which set us up for a full day in the saddle. Room and bed were very comfortable, great shower! Will definitely be back :)

We stayed here as the last place on our trip round Scotland. Lovely clean comfortable rooms and they accept dogs. Breakfast was fantastic and plenty of it. A walk of about 10 mins into Dumfries so ideally situated. Would definitely recommend.

Glenlossie Guest House is a fantastic place to stay, run as it is by such friendly, helpful and genuinely interested people. The room was clean and very comfortable, with all the things that could possibly be needed for a stay away from home. The ensuite was well equipped with a shower that - for someone with slight mobility problems - was a joy to use! The breakfast is one of the best I have had in a hotel, which took the whole experience of B & B into a different world.

We had the pleasure of staying at Glenlossie on 12th April. We were able to check on early so we could leave our bags as we had an ice hockey match to get to. We had a great nights sleep and breakfast the next morning was excellent. What a lovely place to stay.

Stayed for a one nighter in Dumfries, we intended to come touring on the motorbikes but the weather was "dreake"so we used the car instead. We got one of the last room (one of the older rooms) which nice and clean if a little tired and small. The electric shower took a bit of balancing to get it right and the bathroom was a bit short on shelves to put stuff stuff. Everyone was really friendly and I have to admit that the Breckie was one the best I have had in any hotel and I spend a lot of time in hotels.

We are just back from 2 nights at this wonderful guest house in Dumfries. The owners couldn't have been kinder throughout our stay. The breakfasts are wonderful (you really won't need lunch). Our dog was allowed to stay free of charge which was brilliant. Two of our party were mountain biking and came back VERY muddy but the drying room soon sorted everything out for the next days adventure.
We will definitely be back for our next short stay in Dumfries!
