The Café has changed it's name to Tarts'an Tea and does takeaways on Friday & Saturdays from 5.00 to 9.00. I had fish and chips, the best I've ever had, will certainly be back tomorrow.

highly recommend this lovely cafe. Good selection of light bites and meals. High standard of food and very reasonably priced. Table service which is managed by lovely helpful staff. Lovely views from the window tables.
Lots of gifts available to purchase & you can watch them making kilts!!

This is a very serene place to have a lovely cup of coffee with home made cakes! Meals are good as well. You can sit outside by the flowing river or inside in the very authentic building of an original Mill.

On a miserable, rainy late Sunday morning in the Gatehouse of Fleet what could be better than popping into the Riverside Cafe and ordering a bacon and egg bap (or even just an egg bap) and a coffee?! That's exactly what we ended up doing on a recent visit to Gatehouse. Lovely view out of the windows (even when it's raining) - we even spotted a dipper feeding in the river. Service was efficient and friendly and the food was just what was needed. Pity we didn't get chance to go back!

We've been here before a few years ago and it is still a nice little place for a bit of lunch. The staff are very friendly and whilst the menu isn't extensive, there is a good choice of tasty food. I'm sure we will be back.
