Kirkcroft guest house, on arrival we were greeted by Robert, the owner, who welcomed us in and showed us to our room on the ground floor, it was a very comfortable double with en-suite, the bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly all night, although the room seemed very close to the road, we did not hear a sound from it, the en-suite was excellent, with a large shower and hot water, all very nicely tiled and laid out, the room had tea and coffee making facility,s, a must in my opinion, and a good flat screen TV on the wall. We went to breakfast in the cosy dining room, served 7-9am, at 8.30 where Robert and Elaine were busy seeing to 4 other guests already there, nothing was too much trouble for them, I was instantly offered tea or coffee, opting for tea, a decent pot of proper tea was promptly brought to the table, there was plenty of choice for breakfast with a selection of cereals, fruit, yogurts, pan aux raisins etc, plus a full cooked breakfast, the cooked breakfast was perfect, all in all I would highly recommend staying in this delightful little b&b and at £65.00 it is really good value. I would definatly stay again. THE PERFECT REST STOP FROM ENGLAND TO SCOTLAND.
