We had a one night stay at Fludha Guest House and were delighted by the lovely house and beautiful gardens. Our room was very comfortable with fabulous views. Jackie was warm and welcoming and gave us lots of great advice on places to visit. Good choice of breakfast - delicious!

Room Tip: Room five for the view

Fludha Guest House was suggested to us by the information centre in Kirkcudbright, they said it had a lovely view and that it was a five star rated accommodation.

Well all I can say is that five star does nothing to describe the wonderful experience and welcome we had by Jackie! We were originally only staying the one night and driving on the next day, well we did check out after the best breakfast we have had in a B & B Guest House.

We then drove off to discover more of this most beautiful area, we ended up in Port Patrick near the end of the day and after joking with Jackie that we would return, we decided to give her a call and book for a second night. When we arrived for our second night it really was like turning up at a close friends house and being welcomed in as though we were part of the family. I have no hesitation in recommending Fludha Guest House to anyone. The rooms are comfortable attractive and well appointed and spotlessly clean, and as said the breakfast, using all local produce was fantastic. We will definitely be back try keeping us away.

Room Tip: Room 5 with the view is a must, but only if we are not there as this room has our name on it!

On a trip to Scotland with my elderly mother to visit relatives. Stayed at Fludha for 2 nights. Ground floor room 1 perfect. House is very welcoming as is Jackie. Breakfast was great with wide choice and served with a sincere smile! Very peaceful and quiet, no noise! Great lounge and altogether very relaxing. Within walking distance of the town. Highly recommended to all.

Just had 2 nights at Fludha Guest House Our room was light spacious clean and comfortable with a lovely view. The grounds are very neat and well groomed. The breakfast offered a really good range from Traditional Scottish to really good Loch Fyne Kippers or Smoked Haddock with an excellent offering of fruit and cereals. Jackie our host was warm welcoming and friendly We will return to Fludha. Ian and Anne

A very comfortable and clean B and B. Jackie was very helpful. The breakfast was locally sourced
which is always a good sign. Loads of touristy things in the area. The house was very quiet at night
so a good nights sleep was had. Thanks

From the moment i arrived jackie made me feel welcome. The guest house is wonderfully situated with views out over the estuary. My room was excellent, in keeping with the rest of the house. The breakfast using local produce was delicious. i can't recommend Fludha highly enough, and will certainly be staying again.

Very nice Bed and Breakfast which sits quite high up within its own beautifully tended gardens. The house overlooks the Dee Estuary with some great views, and is fairly close to the town centre.
From the moment we arrived we were made feel very welcome by the Manager Jackie who showed us round the public areas and to our room No. 5
The room itself it tastefully decorated, well appointed and very clean with keen attention to detail with no shortage of tea/ coffee etc or complimentary toiletries as in other places. Bed was super comfortable.
There was also a large flat screen TV in the room
There is also a honesty bar where you can buy wines / spirits/ mixers etc.
Breakfast is freshly cooked , individually to order and well cooked, no rock hard eggs, dried out bacon here!!
There was not an evening meal service being offered during our stay but this did not inconvenience us during our stay.
I must compliment them particularly on the freshly made fruit salad during breakfast that they provided which was absolutely fantastic.
In summary the best B&B I have ever stayed in which would put many a hotel to shame, a real credit to Jackie and her team for their hard work in providing both an excellent environment and a showcase to customer service.
I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others and would certainly use Fludha again in the future.
