We had booked for two nights but stayed for three partly because of this B+B. Very clean well maintained with hosts who care. As most people say the breakfast is fantastic and you do get a cooked choice each day AND fresh fruit yoghurt cereal toast ect. We stayed in bedroom one and the window does open now. Off road parking good as we were on motorcycle. Will go back if in area

We had a great break here while attending the Wickerman festival.
The hosts were lovely and very friendly. The room we had was beautiful and faced the back garden it was extremelly relaxing. The breakfast was lovely too and set you up for the day.
We enjoyed it so much that we immedietly booked for next year as have our friends on our recommendation. We really think you won't get a better B&B in Kircudbright

Friendly and well kept, rooms very clean. The front bedroom (#1) does not have an opening window, a little uncomfortable as the weather was warm, but otherwise an excellent place to stay for a night or two. Wonderful hosts.

We have stayed a few times at Anchorlee and have been looked after very well. Olive and Alistair are very friendly and welcoming. They have comfortable and very clean rooms, the 'Garden room' being our favourite. The breakfasts are huge you wont need lunch. We highly recommend this B&B and we hope to return next year. Trina Smith

Room Tip: Choose the 'garden room' but not when we want to book it !!!

Such a big house with big rooms. So comfortable, clean and quiet. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. The breakfast was so good. This is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it.

Stopped for just one night in May while cycling the National Cycle Network route 7. The property is very nice with period features. We felt very welcome and our bicycles were locked away overnight. The breakfast was very nice
Kirkcudbright is also a very nice place to explore. I would like to return.

We have stayed at Anchorlee for many years in April/May when a group of cyclists meet up for the may bank holiday weekend. Our cycles are safely tucked away in the garage overnight. Nothing is too much trouble for Olive and Alistair.
The bed we use is so comfortable and the breakfasts are wonderful. The room is always spotlessly clean. It is brilliant having comfortable chairs to relax in at the end of the day.

Room Tip: We like room 4 which is at the rear of the property and has a bath as well as a shower. We love wak...
