I spent 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Dundee, for just under £190, and absolutely everything was perfect.
First, the hotel is perfectly situated, just in front of the Tay Road Bridge (but we couldn’t hear any noise from the surrounding roads), and very close to the city centre, and to the railway station.
The room (238) was big, with a very comfortable Queen-size bed, on which I had four pillows for myself ! There were even a sofa and a desk. The housekeepers went everyday to clean my room, and the reception was very kind, helpful and polite.
And finally, the breakfast, included in the room price, was absolutely delicious with lots of choices (I tasted every morning the typical British Breakfast, with scrambled eggs, baked beans and Cumberland sausage).
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will definitely come here again when i’ll come back to Dundee. Thanks to all the staff !

Fantastic location right in city centre/waterfront, all attractions within walking distance.

Hotel is clean, staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms are nice, we had a family room for 3 which was ok for one night but a bit crowded with a double and double bed settee, rooms had everything you need but could be done with a lick of paint and a new carpet.

Breakfast was decent for what you pay for.

Parking was expensive £10 for the day/night but next door.

A bargain at £60 for 2 adults & 1 child for 1 night.

Room tip: Ask for a seaview

Great location and view of the bridge and the V&A, nice clean room with good shower and comfy bed and pillows, good value!
Cooked breakfast, toast, croissants and coffee, excellent!
Really nothing not to like!

Room tip: Good view at front of building, on main road, but not overly noisy

Stayed here 23rd March 19 with my friend. The staff were all lovely and the hotel was clean and modern. The only downfall was parking. We parked in the big multi story council run car park attached (park on 3 floor as there’s a little bridge that takes you to hotel) there’s no validation process. But for an overnight stay was a tenner.
Breakfast was fantastic, lots to chose from and all nice food. Even supply you with take away bag and cup.
I would recommend here, great value.
