We enjoyed a fine dinner here last Saturday evening. The short menu proved to be a good sign. The starters were all excellent. We tried three of the four on offer in our group: asparagus; smoked haddock; and the salt beetroots. My beetroots were divine. The mains were also good. I had the cod loin, others enjoyed the lamb and the guinea fowl. All beautifully cooked and delicious. Good wine list, reasonably priced. Very pleasant restaurant, comfortable and relaxing.
Although the place was less than half full, the service was slow. We arrived just after eight and didn't finish our mains until nearly ten, by which time we didn't fancy any of the desserts or a coffee. Had the service been tighter then I'm sure that we would.

My first visit to this restaurant with friends. Clean lines and uncluttered dining environment. Very welcoming. Food was really excellent. Try the Gratin Of Arbroath Smokie as an entrée. All of our dishes were really good. Service was first class. Attentive but non invasive. Recommended.

Not surprisingly the menu featured a lot of fish dishes and between the two of us we tried three of these. They were all fabulous. The Guinea Fowl was also wonderful. The service was friendly and helpful. The premises were a bit tardis like, looking a little uninspiring from the street but once inside a tastefully decorated contemporary space which went well with the menu.

The wine list was excellent, for the first time in years in the UK we found a couple of choices of wonderful Margaret River wines. We went for the Xanadu Cab Sav which was truly memorable.

The desserts did not disappoint, all in all this was a great meal , we will be back when next in Dundee.
