“A gem”
Reviewed 10 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Situated just out of Dundee (less than 10 minutes from the city centre) the little village of Broughty Ferry used to be where Dundonians got into their Sunday best for a visit to the seaside. Now it's a lovely little suburb of largely Victorian era buildings, some of which have been adapted, like The Beach Flat , to holiday rentals. If you've ever wanted to live in a garret, without the starving, this is the place. It's lovely dormer looks over the Broughty Ferry Castle and the Tay River, with views across to Fife. If you are lucky like us, you may even see a seal.

Inside it has been tastefully renovated and decorated with all the mod cons. Good wifi allows you to keep in touch with the world. And if you like a bit of history, go into the shed in the back yard. It used to be the laundry in the "backies"when this was the 1899 tenement known as Ebeneezer Place. You can still see the old coppper in which the washing was done. Fantastic. Thanks, John!

“Spot on!”
Reviewed 19 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We booked this apartment last minute, and we really landed very lucky that they had the 3 days free that we wanted. The apartment is spotless with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Because it is right on the river Tay, with great views. It has a beach theme to it, as the name says. It even has a blind the same as we have of beach huts. We are a sprightly 70 year old couple and did not have any bother with all the stairs, so do not let that put you off. This was our first visit to brought ferry, but there is every chance we will return and stay in this apartment

“Wonderful views”
Reviewed 9 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Flat was exceptionally clean and comfortable with a view of the harbour and castle. Parking no problem. Several welcoming touches. Never saw the owner but he answered several queries before we arrived and was good enough to post on a phonecharger that I left behind.

“Stunning flat to base your stay in Broughty Ferry”
Reviewed 5 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The Beach Flat, is a beautifully appointed, well equipped base to stay in Broughty Ferry, close to Dundee. It is well situated to explore this part of Scotland, and is conveniently located near a train station and local transport, parking is no problem. It is on the top floor (with no lift), but that has the benefit of stunning views over the Tay estuary. I spent a very happy week here visiting my family and friends.

Lovely clean quiet flat. Great views. Everything was straightforward and the owners were very helpful and welcoming without having to be there in person, which will suit lots of guests who are happy to look after themselves. Thank you.

“Just what we needed”
Reviewed 19 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Needed a getaway from weeks of decorators at home. Just wanted a quiet, clean, comfortable place to escape to. The flat exceeded expectations. Tastefully, beautifully kitted out. So peaceful and, being an attic flat, it had with wonderful views over Tay. A very short walk away from wide range of shops, restaurants, pubs, beach. Loved Broughty Ferry atmosphere. The flights of stairs might not suit some but if averagely fit they just add to the sense of getting away from it all.

“excellent in every way”
Reviewed 7 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

I was working for two weeks at Dundee University and I found the Beach Flat a really good base. Easy access into the city and a warm and beautifully presented flat to come home to. The flat has everything you might need and there are those little touches of luxury that make it special. The owners are very responsive and accommodating and despite having some of the worst weather ever (!!!) I had great stay. I hope to stay again at the Beach Flat return whenever I come to Dundee again
