Recently attended an event here for the 80th anniversary of Kilmarnock Magic Circle and the service was horrendous. The waiting staff took so long to serve everything and looked like they would all rather be anywhere but there. We were all told it was lentil soup but when they brought it out they said it was tomato soup which tasted a lot like it was powdered. The mains were freezing cold. Tea and coffee must have been offered at about 11 o'clock at night. The only saving grace was the entertainment which had nothing to do with the Foxbar. Not impressed in the hotel staff at all. Definitely need to quicken their pace and look a bit more alive.

We used the Foxbar Hotel for a recent family funeral tea. The room was set up to accommodate all our family and friends. There were plenty of waiting staff to serve us with the room and tables set out on our arrival. The food was exactly as we ordered, and there were no complaints from any of our family about anything. The husband and wife team ( Mr and Mrs Saunders) couldn't have done enough for us. Where these other peoples reviews have come from is beyond me, I found nothing to complain about.

We recently attended a function at this establishment for a local magic societies 80th celebration the management are incompetent and the food was cold and took ages to be served if it hadn't been for the club organisers setting up the decorating of the function room and the amazing entertainment the entire night would have been a total disaster. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I attended a magic function on Saturday 23rd June. The organisers had done an amazing job organising decorations and entertainment. The meal was a disaster. I was on the last table to have our orders taken and when meal finally arrived it was cold. My 10 year old nephew who was with me said it just right when he told people that the warmest part of his meal was the ice cream. Please avoid at all costs.

Can thoroughly recommend the foxbar Hotel. Room was spotless and well presented, mega comfy bed and really quite modern. I believe the owner is reinvesting in this hotel so let's support it and the public areas will soon be to the same level. Staff really helpful from reception, to the bar man to Colin the gm and not to forget the great wee Maureen! Be back soon! Get ready.
