Haven't been to the compass for years, just had the best bangers and mash ever. My wife was delighted with a great selection of vegetarian options, gluten free too, you don't get many places that concentrate on that.
Will be back

This is a great restaurant-bar with an excellent choice of fresh seafood, homely dinners and a quaint and cosy atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and there was a large variety of drinks! I wish we would have saved room for desert but the portions were very hearty. I wont be having a starter next time but will be leaving room for those delicious puddings... I will definitely be back. This bar is a credit to the upcoming trendy eateries at the shore with very reasonable prices for the quality of food. Try it :)

Good atmosphere, good food, large selection of drinks and excellent service!

Steak pie went down a treat with a pint of Black Isle.

Will be back for sure.

This is a relaxed, cosy restaurant with gastropub type food and lots of local seafood on the menu. The prices are very reasonable and the specials menu always has something really tasty. It's right beside the shore so plenty of pubs in the area for a post dinner drink, although the staff are pretty laid back and happy for you to take your time over your drinks - no rushing people off their tables which is nice! Great service, very friendly and chatty and overall a nice atmosphere.
